Every Word :: by Daymond Duck

Some Christians, including this writer, love Bible prophecy. It is like our favorite dessert. We want it often and we want a lot of it. The more we learn the more we want to learn. It excites and nourishes our souls.

It blesses us so much we wonder why others don’t want the same blessing. But we know that many are not interested in it and it is difficult for us to understand.

When Jesus began His ministry the tempter went to Him and said:

“If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.” And our Lord answered, “It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God” (Matt. 4:3-4).

The Word of God is more important than food and mankind must live by every word that comes from God’s mouth. So why do the vast majority of Christians choose to ignore God’s words that fall into the category of Bible prophecy?

Paul said his famous teaching on the resurrection and Rapture came by the word of the Lord (1 Thess. 4:13). He told every believer to comfort one another with this teaching (1Thess. 4:18). Instead of avoiding the subject, tell people about it.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ says: “The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy” (Rev. 19:10b).

Those who ignore the Revelation of Jesus Christ (the book of Revelation) are ignoring part of the testimony of Jesus. Solomon, perhaps the wisest man who ever lived said:

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; but fools despise wisdom and instruction” (Prov. 1:7).

Ouch!

Peter, the outspoken leader of the 12 original disciples, said:

“We have also a more sure word of prophecy whereunto ye do well that ye take heed” (2 Pet. 1:19).

Fools despise wisdom and instruction, but a person does well to pay attention to prophecy. The world (and obviously the U.S.) is in a big mess.

The 2016 presidential election is looming and many citizens are wondering which candidate is the best qualified to lead us out of the mess.

God has a word of hope for Christians:

“Looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13).

Our hope is the appearance of our God and Saviour not who wins the election. Many people are afraid of the Rapture and Second Coming, but the Rapture is the Christian’s hope—not something to be feared or dismissed.

Paul told Timothy:

“The things that thou has heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also” (2 Tim. 2:2).

Experienced preachers should share Paul’s teachings with others, and those others should pass them on to others, etc. But experienced preachers can’t pass along Paul’s prophetic messages if those experienced preachers ignore them.

Perhaps, that is why so many new preachers are poorly prepared today. Experienced preachers are not doing their job and it is hurting the church.

Perhaps this is why Jesus instructed His disciples in the Great Commission “to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you” (Matt. 28:20). He probably knew that that many experienced preachers would leave out some of what He said.

One last thing, why would anyone who believes the Bible is the inspired Word of God deliberately ignore God’s view of the future? Wouldn’t people be better off knowing God’s view of the future than they would be if all they get is the world’s view of the future?

God’s Curse Is Real :: by Daymond Duck

Hardly a week goes by without a report that leaders in the EU andU.S. are interfering in what is going on in Israel. It seems reasonable to believe that these leaders have enough to do in their own countries to keep them busy.

By ignoring important responsibilities such as checking out tips on Islamic terrorists, doing something about illegal immigration, doing something about violations in the Iranian missile program or the persecution of Christians, etc.; these leaders apparently have time to try to run things in Israel.

And so they use the time they gain from the neglect of their responsibilities to become a curse to Israel.

The EU leaders forgot about checking out Muslim immigrants entering the EU and have ignored Muslim immigrants that are raping women all throughout the EU. They have also turned a deaf ear to tips about radical Muslim suicide bombers in the EU.

They have also gotten involved in the Israeli transfer of funds; cutting off cooperation with Israel on research projects—cancelling scholarships to Jews on the West Bank, passing laws to require Israel to label food grown on the West Bank and similar anti-Israel efforts.

Instead of taking care of things in their own countries, many EU leaders have spent time and money on ways to pressure Israel into dividing their land and giving large parts of it to Muslim terrorists.

Simply put, the EU is a curse to Israel.

The U.S. has gone along with most of what the EU has and more. President Obama and his Clinton-run State Department used U.S. dollars to interfere in Israel’s elections by sending his former campaign advisors with large sums of money to Israel to orchestrate the defeat of Prime Minister Netanyahu in Israel’s last election.

They used time and money that could have been spent in the U.S. on veteran’s hospital bills, improving border security, checking out Islamic terrorists—who eventually killed 14 people and wounded 22 in San Bernardino, California; and the many other neglected needs we have in this country.

But instead, the U.S. administration has used its time and money to become a curse to Israel.

Concerning the Tribulation period, the Word of God says, “For the day of the LORDis near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head” (Obad. 1:15).

Now, the de facto capital of the EU (Brussels, Belgium) that has given so much love and support to the Muslim terrorists in Israel—has just undergone the worst terrorist attack in its history.

What the EU has done to Israel has been done to them. Their effort to expose Israel to Muslim terrorism did not go unnoticed by God.

Concerning America’s interference in the Israeli elections, instead of a “Dump Netanyahu” movement in Israel, we have a “Dump Trump” movement in the U.S.

Instead of U.S. politicians working on an anti-Netanyahu movement, today we have anti-American efforts by George Soros; many of the labor unions that always support Democrats; groups of socialists, communists, Muslims, Hispanics and blacks working to create civil disobedience larger than anything America has had in more than a generation.

America’s efforts in Israel failed to stop the election of Prime Minister Netanyahu, but some are concerned that Mr. Soros’ hired guns and the others could stop the elections in the U.S. and bring on Martial Law. That remains to be seen.

What the U.S. has done to Israel is being done to the U.S. America’s support for EU sanctions on Israel and its interference in Israel’s election has not gone unnoticed by God.

God’s curse is real and so are His blessings. Unfortunately, the EU and the U.S. have made the wrong choice.

And the judgment of God will soon fall harder because both are determined to ignore the Word of God and continue down the same misguided path.

As for me and my household; we choose to serve the Lord, honor His Word, and gratefully reap His many blessings.
