Broken Record :: By Daymond Duck

In 1877, Thomas Edison invented a phonograph that played recordings on tinfoil cylinders. Technology advanced, the tinfoil cylinders became obsolete, and the vinyl record was invented in 1940.

The vinyl record was a flat rotating disc with a continuous groove.

A phonograph needle was supposed to stay in the groove and read and play recorded music (or whatever) as the vinyl record rotated.

It was common for vinyl records to get scratched so that the needle couldn’t continue along the intended groove.

When the needle couldn’t get out of the scratched groove, the same words would be repeated over and over again.

This was the beginning of the phrase “It sounds like a broken record.”

My articles sometimes sound like a broken record, but rest assured that Bible prophecy is advancing as intended by God at an incredible pace.

First, an article about an Aug. 5, 2018, sermon by Rev. Hank Kunneman caught my attention (One Voice Ministries; https://www.ovm.org/; https://www.cnsnews.com/blog/michael-w-chapman/rev-kunneman-trump-friend-church-and-israel-news-media-are-anti-christ).

According to the article, Rev. Kunneman called Pres. Trump a “friend of the Church and a friend of Israel,” and he called the news media “anti-Christ” and “anti-God.”

In essence, Rev. Kunneman said there is a war going on between this pro-Church, pro-Israel President and the ungodly, anti-Christ news media.

He said Pres. Trump wants to restore America’s values, but ungodly people are using the media to say men being with men, women being with women, and taking prayer out of the schools is right.

Rev. Kunneman reminded his listeners that America came very close to having a President that supported the views of the ungodly media (abortion, gay issues, etc.).

I will add that America came very close to having a candidate that would have nominated judges that would have legalized restrictions on Christianity (she said they would have to change some of their values), supported world government, world religion, wealth redistribution, etc.

Rev. Kunneman pointed out that people need to decide between what the Bible says is truth and what the ungodly news media says is truth; and, if people decide against the Bible, there is something wrong with them.

Second, on Aug. 5, 2018, it was reported that Jared Kushner sent out an e-mail in January saying the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) is corrupt, inefficient and doesn’t help peace.

Mr. Kushner’s opinion of the UNRWA sounds like the coming world government of the Antichrist: corrupt, inefficient and doesn’t help peace.

In fact, another article four days later referenced a report by a “highly-respected” former UN employee that said an estimated 3,300 pedophiles are currently working for the UN, and staff members at the UN could have raped up to 60,000 children.

He added, “We are looking at a problem on the scale of the Catholic Church, if not bigger.”

How does a Church that is very involved in pedophilia and child rape fit into Bible prophecy (It will play a big role in MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH)?

The U.S. is the largest contributor to the UN budget, and every U.S. voter needs to seriously consider what the candidates for office support.

Third, this week, a friend sent an article to me that was dated June 7, 2018.

According to the article, researchers at a Japanese University have presented a paper at a large prestigious international conference that suggests the building of divine robots called Theomorphic Robots.

These scientists are working on two prototypes of robots that can talk and be used as tools for contacting the divine.

These robots will be programed to pray with users, quote Scripture and recall things about the user’s life.

The researchers want institutions such as the Roman Catholic Church to approve of the construction and use of these robots.

They say these robots won’t be treated like they are God, but they will be treated like they are messengers of God, servants of God and carrying out God’s will.

Three things struck my mind on this:

One, the False Prophet will build an image of the Antichrist that will talk, and people will worship it (Rev. 13:14-15).

Two, the Antichrist will be worshipped as God and sit in the Temple and say he is God (II Thess. 2:3-4).

Three, Satan is trying to replace God, and robots praying for people instead of believers praying for them.

Fourth, Pres. Trump has announced his intention to impose economic sanctions on Russia in response to Russia using nerve gas to attack a former spy in Britain.

On Aug. 10, 2018, Russia’s Prime Min. Dmitri Medvedev said this could be called “a declaration of economic war . . . and it would be necessary, it would be needed to react to this war economically, politically, or, if needed, by other means. And our American friends need to understand this.”

I ask, “Does Russia’s attack on Israel to take a spoil and a prey, to take Israel’s silver and gold, cattle and goods in the latter days and latter years (Ezek. 38:8, 13, 16) fall into the category of economic, political or other means?”

I know I sound like a broken record, but I believe the latter days and latter years have arrived.

Before Our Very Eyes :: By Daymond Duck

Almost every week, I have the great honor of updating a small group of people on recent current events in Bible prophecy.

A retired pastor attends most of the updates, and I always call upon him for a dismissal prayer.

He faithfully thanks God and often prays, “We realize that Bible prophecy is being fulfilled before our very eyes.”

Below are three things that are occurring before our very eyes.

First, on Aug. 1, 2018, a Russian official told a newspaper that Russia had managed to get Iranian Hezbollah and Shiite forces in Syria to withdraw to a distance of 85 km (53 miles) from Israel’s border.

It turns out that he was lying, and several other news outlets quickly repeated his lie.

Over the next two days, Iranian, Hezbollah and Shiite forces moved closer to Israel’s border along the Golan Heights – not farther away.

Russia also stationed Chechen troops in Russian uniforms at eight positions along Syria’s border with Israel on the Golan Heights.

Israel’s Gog and Magog enemies are fulfilling prophecy before our very eyes.

Second, on May 8, 2018, Pres. Trump withdrew from the Iranian nuclear deal and signed an executive order to re-impose sanctions on Iran.

Some of those sanctions were to kick in in 90 days (on Aug. 6, 2018) and others in 180 days (on Nov. 4, 2018).

Iran’s official currency is called the rial, and its value immediately started slipping against the dollar.

Inflation has struck, and citizens are demonstrating.

Russia is struggling economically due to three years of low oil prices, sanctions imposed over her 2014 annexation of Crimea, corruption, negative population growth, the cost of propping up Syria, and more.

Turkey’s lira has been declining lately over interest rate problems, inflation, and sanctions imposed by Pres. Trump on two government officials for Turkey’s failure to release American pastor Andrew Brunson.

How about that? Iran, Russia and Turkey need silver and gold, cattle and goods; and, not surprisingly, Israel has all of these things.

This is more Bible prophecy that is being fulfilled before our very eyes.

Third, on Aug. 3, 2018, it was reported that the Trump Administration is putting together a staff to present Mr. Trump’s peace proposal and to explain and deal with the events that may follow.

For weeks, we have been reading that the Arab nations are ready to recognize the existence of Israel as a Jewish nation, make concessions, and sign an agreement on the condition that the PA gets an independent nation with East Jerusalem as its capital.

This writer cannot predict what Mr. Trump’s peace proposal will say. But while this discussion of dividing Israel has been taking place, monster wildfires have burned millions of acres of land and more than 1,000 homes out west; drought has destroyed crops and animals, and started drying up lakes and rivers in the southwest; and record-breaking temperatures have caused havoc for millions.

Even though Pres. Trump has been good to Israel and experienced God’s blessings on America, one must wonder if God is warning him against dividing Israel and Jerusalem.

The future of Israel and Jerusalem are not at stake, but the well-being of America could quickly change before our very eyes.
