False Spirituality and Prophetic Reality :: by Bill Wilson

There are so many emails, stories, blogs, broadcasts, podcasts, tweets and whatever else espousing conspiracy theories about why you have no need to vote, and why a certain candidate is unworthy or worthy. When it all comes down to it, you have to discern, and discern wisely about your civic responsibility.

All the noise is there to confuse you. It is part of an overall demonic scheme to take you to a point where you cannot make a decision to even save yourself or your families. Christians seem very vulnerable to this phenomena of what the Communists call “ideological subversion” as indicated by a recent ChristianHeadlines.com story citing polls that indicate 20 percent of Christians will not vote in the upcoming election.

Christians sitting on the sidelines gave America another four years of the current occupant of the Oval Office. The results have been long-term devastation with debt, joblessness, war, rebellion, invasion, religious discrimination, a crack down on free speech and so on.

That’s what we get for sitting on the sidelines waxing spiritual.

We have been given life here on earth to live. The Lord has given us HOPE of how our lives on earth will be rewarded in spending eternity with Him or going to hell. It’s what is in our hearts and how we live our lives out here on earth that will matter. A well-balanced life practicing the Golden Rule is one of living life abundantly rather than being paralyzed by bad doctrine and wrong thinking.

There is a great parable told by Jesus about the kingdom of heaven. Jesus began by saying in Matthew 35:14:

“For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods. And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one…”

Now the men who had the five and the two talents doubled their value. The man with one talent buried it so it wouldn’t be lost. The men who invested and gained were told, “you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of the Lord.” The one that buried the talent had it taken away and was called “wicked and slothful.”

You may not like the choices you have in the upcoming election. But Christians choosing to exercise their spiritual pride rather than their right to vote is akin to hiding their talent. In March, a Pew Research Center survey indicated “that 70 percent of American Muslims identify with the Democratic Party.”

The New York Times reported that while Muslims make up only about 1 percent of the U.S. population, Islamic civil rights groups are working to register a million new voters. The focus is on small, but powerful, voting blocs to tilt close elections in swing states such as Ohio and Florida that have large Muslim populations.

While many Christians stubbornly will not vote to at least begin to turn our country around, you can bet Muslims will be voting to turn the nation toward Islam. That, my friend, is a devastating spiritual and prophetic reality.

Have a Blessed and powerful day!

Stopping Totalitarianism :: by Bill Wilson

The Founding Fathers knew that a free nation would only remain free if there was freedom of speech, especially as exercised by the news media. The First Amendment reads:

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion,or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

The “press” prided itself in being the “Fourth Estate”—that non-governmental branch of the nation holding the government accountable, the watchdog of the people. The watchdog of the people has become a lapdog of the government, but that has changed in recent years.

The cozy relationship between the news media and the socialist left has enjoyed a long honeymoon since those nasty capitalist pigs were brought down by the Watergate burglaries, causing the resignation of President Richard Nixon. For decades the news media became more leftist, increasingly biased, and far more supportive of big government and dismissive of conservative constitutionalism.

The lesson they should be learning is that government cannot be trusted and that it is healthy to have an adversarial relationship with politicians and government. Notwithstanding, the “president” himself called the news media a ‘partner” of his in his recent press banquet speech.

Remember that the Treasury Department’s IRS, the nation’s foremost totalitarian agency, where a person has to prove his innocence once accused, targeted and harassed those who espoused the founding principles of the nation. Moreover, the IRS lied to Congress in March 2012 denying that it was targeting TEA Party and Patriot groups.

Add to this a concerted effort by this government to disarm Americans, partner with America’s enemies The Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda in its foreign policy endeavors, and artificially supporting the marketplace with tax dollars. Add them all up and you have a totalitarian state progressing at a fast pace.

Those who think that it’s just okay to allow this country to fall and we will just worship our Lord anyway with whatever comes with it, ought to study what is going on with Christians in China, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. It is not merely having the IRS knocking at your door asking why your itemized deductions don’t add up. We have an Isaiah 59:3 government:

“For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies; your tongue has muttered perverseness.”

We as Christians and as Americans should not be an Isaiah 59:4-14 people:

“Non call for justice, nor any plead for truth … for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.”

If we tolerate totalitarianism, we shall have it.

Have a blessed and powerful day!
