Persecution and Prophetic People :: By Bill Wilson

Many Americans are worried about persecution. They see religious freedoms dwindling away by the actions of leaders who have been elected to represent all the people, but represent the self interests of the devil himself. But persecution in the United States is not at the level it is around the rest of the world.

We become upset and worried if the government uses the force of law on someone who refuses to go against his or her religious beliefs. In the Middle East, however, women and children are being raped, sold into slavery, tortured, even beheaded or burned to death by Muslims because they are considered infidels. In China, homes are bulldozed if Christians are found to be meeting in them.

If not for America, the world would be a dark place. We send aid, protection, food, and the gospel around the world. Even though our country is in a moral decline, and the leadership we elect are often evil deceivers—Americans have stood the test of time, using religious freedom and freedom of speech to advance the kingdom of God.

No matter how convoluted and circuitous the path America has taken, Americans more often than not have stood in the breach and have held the line for what is right and good. For a generation, it appears we have taken leave of our good senses and have allowed our nation to slowly decline. We are now starting to face the consequences of this lack of proper standing and engagement.

But take courage, and be encouraged. As is written 1 Peter 2:9:

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”

You, yes you, are a prophetic person who was born specifically for this time. When you accepted Christ, you may not have understood about counting the cost. Jesus said that we would have to take up the cross to follow him. Those costs are becoming more evident in this day and age for those of us who live in America. Our leadership is poor. Our nation is in decline. Our Christianity is being challenged. As is our faith. But you are part of a chosen generation.

Peter had a lot to say about persecution. He knew it well:

“For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous. And his ears are open unto their prayers: But the face of the Lord is against them that do evil” (1 Peter 3:12).

He asks, “And who is he that will harm you, if you be followers of that which is good” (1 Peter 3:13).

Peter also said it is better to suffer for righteousness’ sake in verses 14-15:

“…happy are you: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; but sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asks you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.”

You are a prophetic person. Rise up. Stand as so!

Have a blessed and powerful day!

Sissy Journalism :: By Bill Wilson

Over the July 4th Holiday, so-called journalists from across the liberal media have been decrying the “war” President Donald Trump has declared on the news media. These people have been pushing the limits of undermining the presidency in tandem with the Democratic Party since the election, reporting leftist bias, fake news, making up meetings and getting caught fabricating sources, meetings and stories.

For the first time in recent memory, the office of the president has fought back, exposing the small-mindedness and cowardice of this generation of tabloid writers who call themselves journalists. The result has been a bunch of sissies crying that people might be getting angry with them.

CNN White House Correspondent Jim Acosta said:

I can’t speak for everybody who has covered Donald Trump since he was a candidate. I covered him throughout that campaign, and now that he’s president of the United States-my concern is, and I know it’s shared by others, is that this kind of rhetoric, this kind of behavior is going to lead to a journalist being hurt. That’s the thing I worry about…I hate that I’m worried about that on 4th of July weekend when we’re all supposed to be celebrating our freedoms, including the First Amendment, the right to free speech and the free press.

Acosta was referring to Trump tweeting a video where he did a pro-wrestling throw down of a man with a CNN logo superimposed on his face, “This is just not the kind of information you expect to come from the president of the United States.”

The narrative in the leftist news media, as fueled by the Democrats, is that Trump is mentally unfit for office. Liberal commentator Keith Olbermann said that the Cabinet should invoke the 25th Amendment and remove Trump from office. MSNBC’s Dr. Joe Scarborough said Trump’s mental state is in decline. Scarborough’s lover, Dr. Mika Brzesinski, whose father was globalist, Zbigniew Brzesinski, Jimmy Carter’s National Security Advisor, said Trump has “literally devolved.”

These are hardly unbiased sources. Leftist Congressman Jamie Raskin (D-MD) introduced a bill to form a “bipartisan commission” to declare Trump mentally unfit and invoke the 25th Amendment, which allows the vice president to declare a president unfit.

A couple of points here: 1) The Democratic Party and the news media are working on the mentally unfit narrative. 2) These so-called “journalists” can gin up hatred and violence through their tone and false reporting, but when they are called out, they start crying foul.

The combined effect of the Democratic Party, its celebrity minions and the news media drove a man to make a list and try to assassinate conservative members of Congress. While many might disagree with how the president is pushing back, he is exposing the insidious, undermining, hypocritical and dishonest actions of the media.

Their tabloid journalism becomes sissy journalism, and they become filled with fear. Proverbs 29:25 says, “The fear of man brings a snare: but whoso puts his trust in the Lord shall be safe.”

Herein is the issue: No God—know fear. Know God—no fear.
