Are You on Power-Save Mode? :: By Bill Wilson

Americans who believe in Judeo-Christian values repeatedly have been told that they are not good people. The left has adopted a culture of attacking anyone with whom they disagree. It even has a name—cancel culture, where people are essentially “canceled” for expressing something these brutal hate mongers don’t like. Yet they accuse everyone else of hate, especially Christians.

Christians are hated for believing in creation, that life begins at conception, that marriage is between a man and a woman. Our dignity, honor and belief system have been under attack. This is a society where the moral ground is increasingly given way to the power of darkness. It seems that light is in power save mode.

But there is one thing that no Hollywood actor, no “politician,” no political system, no culture war, no struggle between the classes, no forced healthcare or Islamic terrorist can take away from us–The Holy Spirit.

Jesus said in Acts 1:8, “But you shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and you shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

Think about that–the uttermost part of the earth.

2 Timothy 1:7 says, “For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Zechariah 4:6 says, “Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, says the LORD of hosts.”

The Holy Spirit. Ruach Ha Kodesh. You are powered by the Holy Spirit. No election, no depression, no oppression, no darkness can usurp that power, unless you let it.

During this dark time in our nation, we need to exercise our Holy Spirit power. Notice the Lord said to receive the Holy Spirit and then be witnesses first in Jerusalem, then expanding out to Judaea and Samaria, then unto the uttermost part of the earth. He didn’t say to be witnesses in the church pew, then inside the church’s self-improvement program, and then inside the church’s conference on self- improvement. He was telling us to receive the Holy Spirit and engage with the world, not draw back from it.

Pew Research says 65% of American adults describe themselves as Christians, down 12 percentage points over the past decade. Meanwhile, people who describe their religious identity as atheist, agnostic or “nothing in particular” now stands at 26%, up from 17% in 2009. Even so, we are in a vast, vast majority. If we as Christians were fully engaged, our American society would not be giving ground to the darkness that is prevailing.

We are told in Ephesians 5:8 to “walk as children of light.”

Romans 13:12 tells us to “put on the armor of light.”

And Ephesians 6:17 says to take the “sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God,” and verse 20 tells us “that therein I may speak boldly as I ought to speak.”

We as Christians are powered by the Holy Spirit. You are powered by the Holy Spirit. Don’t be on power- save mode; let the power of your light shine.

The Impeachment Smoking Gun :: By Bill Wilson

Let’s boil this impeachment down to some basics. Donald Trump, the man, is not who the deep state and the leftists in politics want running the show. They will do anything they can to get rid of him even though he won the vote of the people.

This is one of those strange times when the unelected bureaucracy is openly working to remove someone they believe to be unfit for office. The reason for impeachment is what? Trump asked Ukraine to investigate corruption of Democratic Party political opponent Joe Biden’s son. They claim Trump asked a foreign country to investigate someone to benefit himself politically. Is this a high crime or misdemeanor? The answer may be found in a simple Senate document.

On November 10, 1999, President Bill Clinton presented to the US Senate the “Treaty Between the United States of America and Ukraine on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters” that was signed on September 30, 1999. Clinton’s note to the Senate read:

“The Treaty is one of a series of modern mutual legal assistance treaties being negotiated by the United States in order to counter criminal activities more effectively. The Treaty should be an effective tool to assist in the prosecution of a wide variety of crimes, including drug trafficking offenses. The Treaty is self-executing. It provides for a broad range of cooperation in criminal matters.”

He continued, “Mutual assistance available under the Treaty includes: taking of testimony or statements of persons; providing documents, records, and articles of evidence; serving documents; locating or identifying persons; transferring persons in custody for testimony or other purposes; executing requests for searches and seizures; assisting in proceedings related to restraint, confiscation, forfeiture of assets, restitution, and collection of fines; and any other form of assistance not prohibited by the laws of the requested state.”

These are all things that come with corruption investigations and are part of Trump’s request to Ukraine’s President regarding Hunter Biden. By the way, Joe Biden (D-DE) was a Senator at the time of this treaty.

President Trump was making–how would he say it, “a very, very legal request”–of Ukraine’s president.

That the Democratic Party leadership is sore that one of their presidential candidates could be implicated in corruption in another country is not Trump’s fault. It is yet more proof that the coup-makers here are accusing those who disagree with them of exactly what they are doing.

This Jot is written to equip you in discussing impeachment with others. You are the last line of defense for protecting all of our Constitutional rights, especially of free speech and religious freedom. As Paul writes in Ephesians 6:19,

“And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel.”

In this case, speak boldly to expose this charade. With impeachment, public opinion counts. Your opinion counts.
