Some Bible teachers are saying that we are well into the Revelation prophecies because COVID was like one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse. Let us not be confused concerning this.

Revelation 6 describes six of the seven seals opened by the Lamb of God, each passing a judgment on the earth. The White Horse is ridden by a conqueror; then a red horse symbolizing war; then a black horse of inflation; then the pale horse ridden by Death, empowered to kill with sword, hunger, death, and the beasts of the earth. None of these horsemen are COVID because of the many prophecies that must take place before these final seal judgments. But COVID is certainly a type and shadow of things to come.

In Matthew 24, Christ prophesies the chronology for the end of the age, beginning with verse 4, “Take heed that no man deceive you.”

Summing it up [Matthew 24]:

• There will be false Christs, wars and rumors of wars, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes—which Christ calls the beginning of sorrows.
• Then there will be persecution, betrayals, false prophets, and the gospel preached in all the world.
• After that, the Abomination of Desolation will be seen as the beast (who many call the antichrist) who will desecrate the temple.
• After that, there will be great tribulation. “And except those days be should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.”
• After that, Christ says there will be darkness, the Son of Man will come in the clouds, and, at the sound of a trumpet, the elect will be gathered.

As we look at COVID from a prophetic lens, never in history has there been a worldwide shutdown because of a disease. In addition, we can see how quickly the world can be brought under the control of political forces. Lockdowns, mask mandates, vaccine mandates, vaccine passports are all indicative of not only a great pestilence but also of not being able to buy or sell, eat or travel without a COVID vaccine. It is eerily similar to Revelation 13:17, “And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.” What is missing is the beast.

COVID is not the beast, but it certainly lays the groundwork for the beast and demonstrates how fast the beast could rise to power and mandate his worship by locking down commerce and killing all who refuse to abide in his blasphemy.

These indeed are perilous times. But remember we are not given a spirit of fear, but of power, and love, and of a sound mind. Be careful to not be deceived. Bible teachers sometimes are quick to jump to conclusions based on what they think a verse means, or want it to mean, rather than taking it in context.

Don’t take what I am saying or anyone else without studying it for yourself. When you compare what the prophets say about the end times with Christ’s very specific teaching in Matthew 24 and Luke 21, you will see how the events of the end will unfold.

Do not be deceived. Neither fear. But gain understanding and peace that you might discern the events of our time to bring others to Christ.

The House Foreign Affairs Committee Minority Staff Report on the origins of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the roles of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and the World Health Organization (WHO), tells a horror story on how the CCP and WHO were complicit in covering up the virus in the early stage of the pandemic, resulting in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people worldwide, especially in the United States.

The Report documents how when Communist Chinese officials knew the deadly virus was active weeks before it was announced, they nationalized supply chains, secretly produced medical supplies, and intentionally prevented export of such supplies.

The Report reveals, “It is highly likely that China’s nationalization of the manufacturing capacity of foreign companies, including 3M and General Motors, directly impacted the ability of the United States and other countries to procure PPE on the global market. The CCP threatened to cut off supplies to countries who questioned their false account of the early stages of the pandemic.”

The Report indicates that the state-run press agency Xinhua News stated that if the CCP chose to ban pharmaceutical exports to the U.S., it would be “plunged into the mighty sea of coronavirus.”

The Report says, “this tactic is one that the CCP has deployed repeatedly during the pandemic… In sum, the COVID-19 global pandemic could have been prevented if the CCP acted in a transparent and responsible manner.”

The Report also documents gain of function research that enabled coronaviruses to bind to human cell receptors was conducted in 2015 and was “partially funded by grants from the U.S. National Institute of Allergy & Infectious Disease and the National Institute of Aging within the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH), as well as the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).” This funding was stopped and restarted several times through APRIL 2020.

The Report concludes that a leak of the COVID-19 virus from the Wuhan lab, accidental or deliberate, is possible. CCP refuses to cooperate with international investigators, making it impossible to “gather the concrete evidence to prove, or disprove, this theory.”

By a vote of 216 to 207 on July 20, House Democrats blocked a bill that would require the declassification of information related to the origins of any role the Wuhan Institute of Virology may have played in the pandemic’s outbreak. A similar bill in the Senate passed unanimously in May.

Could it be the Democratic Party and the news media wanted Trump out of office so badly that they suppressed the truth – even at the expense of hundreds of thousands of lives – and even today continue the cover-up by censoring the truth and villainizing anyone who questions their false narrative? Could it be that these actors used the COVID 19 crisis to manipulate the economy, control the healthy population, and alter voting laws for political gain?

This suppression of the truth by the communists and other sympathetic actors such as Democratic Party leadership and the news media at the expense of life itself is a horrible sin.

Proverbs 6:17 says that the Lord hates “A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood.”

Romans 1:18 says, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness, and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness.”

May it be so. China and its accomplices need to be held accountable. Notwithstanding, we in America are facing an unprecedented communist onslaught of control, censorship, and demonization of anyone who disagrees with the narrative. Can we face up to the reality that our country has been unduly harmed by the CCP and its disciples within? And are we going to do something about it?
