Car drives into group of people at a Christmas market in the eastern German city of Magdeburg. Reports of at least 11 dead and as many as 80 injured. The driver, a man of Saudi origin, arrested.
The driver of the vehicle has been arrested, according to the dpa news agency. The German newspaper Bild reported that police have cordoned off the area in search of explosives. Germany has been on high alert for possible Islamist attacks
