Newsweek Courageously Warns That Sex-Change Surgery Might Just Destroy Your Life
As the social media giants continue to crack down on those who violate their trans-activist talking points, another perspective has been raised from an unexpected source. I’m talking about a powerful, deeply moving article posted in Newsweek and titled, “We Need Balance When It Comes To Gender Dysphoric Kids. I Would Know.” The author of the op-ed is Scott Newgent, self-described as “a 48-year-old transgender man.” What Newgent has written is courageous, deeply revealing, poignant, and accurate. Perhaps others will now heed these urgent warnings, since those of us on the conservative Christian side who have been presenting similar cases have been largely ignored to this day.

Graham: McConnell ‘put a load on Republicans’ back’ with anti-Trump speech
The senator also said he believes the impeachment set a dangerous precedent. “I don’t know how Kamala Harris doesn’t get impeached if the Republicans take over the House, because she actually bailed out rioters, and one of the rioters went back to the streets and broke somebody’s head open,” Graham said. “So we’ve opened Pandora’s box here, and I’m sad for the country.”

An earthquake at the Olympic torch relay start point is just the beleaguered Tokyo 2020 Games’ latest crisis
The 7.1 magnitude quake which hit the region on Saturday was, for many, a painful reminder of the 9.0 magnitude earthquake that struck the same area almost 10 years ago, causing a tsunami and the subsequent notorious nuclear meltdown. Saturday’s quake is just the latest in a long line of setbacks to beleaguer Tokyo 2020.

On Edge: In a Rural Eastern Plains Community Plagued by Drought, Stigma Won’t be Easy to Overcome
“It’s horrible, just horrible, the ways drought can affect the human mind,” says Jimmy Brown, a third-generation farmer in Eads whose wheat and grain sorghum crops withered this year, just like those of his neighbors. Each generation has taught the next to take the long view because they have learned that wishing – or praying – for rain doesn’t make it happen. Yet nobody here can remember a year so parched that little grew higher than their work boots. No one recalls ground so dry that even the bindweed stopped growing.

The western United States is in the grip of a once-in-a-lifetime drought that is threatening millions of acres of farmland and rangeland, drying up streams and creeks and forcing people to think about alternative landscaping choices that don’t suck up so much water. “A lot of people will say this is the worst drought they have seen in their lifetime, and yes, they’re right,” said Joel Lisonbee, a climatologist and drought information coordinator with the National Integrated Drought Information System.
