Netanyahu: It’s absurd for ICC to put U.S. or Israeli soldiers on trial
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu lauded the decision of the International Criminal Court (ICC) to reject a request to investigate US forces for possible war crimes in Afghanistan. “It’s absurd for the ICC to put US or Israeli soldiers on trial,” Netanyahu said… The ICC is also weighing whether to accept a war crimes suite by the Palestinian Authority against Israelis for war crimes both in its action in Gaza and for West Bank settlement construction.

Israeli delegation cancels visit to Bahrain due to security concerns
An Israeli delegation of businessmen and government officials planning to take part in a business conference in Bahrain has canceled its visit on security concerns, a statement from the organizers said on Sunday. The group had been planning to attend a congress organized by the Global Entrepreneurship Network from April 15.

A magnitude 5.2 earthquake shook the west side of the Big Island this evening but did not generate a tsunami, officials said. The U.S. Geological Survey said the quake struck at about 5:09 p.m. and was centered about 15 miles west-southwest of Kailua-Kona at a depth of about 10 miles. The quake was centered on land and was not strong enough to generate a destructive tsunami.
