A Last-Minute Event :: By Sally Law

The Rapture & Military Strategy 101
Preceding an offensive military attack on another nation, remove military personnel and shut down the Ambassador’s main office, including all branch offices. All personnel and their families must be secured and removed before military strikes are launched, and completely out of harm’s way.

I am not the Madam President, but I know this: If an offensive military strike is at hand, all people and precious possessions are secured and/or removed.

Am I a genius? No, not at all. This is common sense. I know, I know… we are lacking in common sense across the board these days.

But, I am not here to malign our government. I think our President would do the same thing as I have described above.

And so will our God. You see, a strike has already been planned and forecasted. It won’t be pretty. Actually, it’s a long-awaited time of judgment recorded in the prophetic books of the Bible. It will be bloody and gruesome in the worst sense of those words. Jesus already described it to us, and He said it would be like no other time remembered upon the earth.

For the sake of humanity, those days will be shortened during this future time, sparing a remnant of mankind.

Because of this shorten-the-days-plan, some have been forecasted to survive and come out alive on the other side.

Let’s see what the Bible has to say about all of this.

“For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened” (Matthew 24:21-22).

I believe this part of Matthew 24 is specific to the Jews living in this future time. Israel will be given a final chance to believe upon Jesus for the forgiveness of sin and accept Him as the Messiah. They missed Him the first time He walked among them on the earth.

Now, we as Christians are referred to as ambassadors of Christ, His body and bride. We are a cherished possession of our Lord.

God will judge the earth in the fullest measure imaginable. He will judge all people for the sin of rejecting His offering of atonement. His only begotten Son, Jesus the Christ, was the offering. Both Jew and Gentile unbelievers will be subject to this judgment.

At the end of this prescribed time, God will release his full wrath upon those still rejecting his Son. That’s a lot of wrath, my dear readers—a lot.

Before this judgment is released, he must remove from the “embassies” of the earth those who are His, the blood-washed believers in Christ.

He promised He would remove us from harm’s way. This removal is an event sometimes referred to as the Rapture.

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words” (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18).

Just before judgment begins, the possessions of Christ are secured and removed out of harm’s way.

Secured: Sealed with the Holy Spirit; bought by the blood of Jesus Christ. We are His. He’ll be securing what He already paid for and hid away from the fierceness of God’s wrath.

Removed: Time to go. We are clothed in immortality and we are in the air at Jesus’s side—pronto. Lightning fast it will transpire. We are here one second and gone the next—raptured!

Since the tribulation period is all about judgments, I believe scripture is clear as to whom the judgment is for.

Let’s take a quick look into a scene in heaven according to the book of Revelation to see how it will play out.

“I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.

“And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, and said to the mountains and rocks, ‘Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?’” (Revelation 6:12-17).

I don’t want to be around when this goes down. Neither should you. I believe scripture teaches we won’t be here as believers in Christ. We’ll be long gone with Jesus when the seven-year judgment unfolds.

I’m awaiting the last-minute event, and hope you are too!
