Shining the Light and Exposing the Darkness in an Unstable World

Let’s start off with the light, because it gets darker as we read on.

“For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: (For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;) Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord” (Ephesians 5:8-10).

May these discoveries play a part in opening the eyes of unbelievers: Over the past few years, biblical archaeologists have made incredible discoveries such as an ancient coin depicting Samson fighting with lions, the city of Gath where Goliath lived, the city of Bethsaida where Philip, Andrew and Peter were from, the city of Corinth where the church of the Corinthians that Paul wrote twice to was located, and others. Now they believe they’ve found the biblical city of Cana in Galilee where Jesus began His earthly ministry, turned water into wine and first caused His disciples to believe on Him.

Earthquakes: Of the notable ones in the past several days:

0n August 25th, a 5.9 earthquake struck Iran, killing two and wounding 241. A 5.1 hit central Greece, causing landslides on rural roads. “Half of the country shook,” Seismology Professor Lekkas said. Los Angeles, California was hit by the largest quake it has had in three years. It was a 4.4 but it was shallow enough to cause considerable shaking. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. Several strong earthquakes struck in the ocean this week including a 7.1, 6.4 and 6.2. Watch Hal Lindsey’s August 31 report. He had some interesting statistics on the increase in intensity and frequency of earthquakes.

Seas and waves roaring: Hurricane activity in the Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico is forecast to ramp up over the next couple of weeks. In the Pacific, forecasters are watching Hurricanes Miriam and Norman.

Typhoon Jebi, the most intense storm of 2018 so far, is expected to threaten Japan. Damaging winds, flooding and mudslides are possible. Jebi will be the 13th tropical cyclone to affect part of Japan since mid-June.

Puerto Rico’s government vastly underreported the death toll from last September’s Hurricane Maria by well over 2,000 people. The revised figure makes Maria the deadliest U.S. natural disaster in over 100 years.

Extreme weather: In western Wisconsin, heavy rains caused widespread flooding of homes and businesses and washed out roads and railroads. The governor declared a state of emergency. One person lost their life. Almost the entire US had rain at some point this week (except for the West Coast and northern Rockies), including storms and flooding in places.

Disease and drugs: The CDC reports that STDs have hit all-time highs in US for fourth straight year.

The controversial HPV vaccine given to children has caused devastating side effects, including deaths. Yet in Finland, schools no longer require parental permission to administer the vaccine to children.

More mosquitoes carrying the West Nile Virus have been found this year compared to others. 20% of people bitten by a mosquito carrying this virus become ill. In 1 out of 150 cases, the virus spreads to the nervous system. There’s no cure and some people have died. It’s recommended to avoid activity between dusk and dawn, remove standing water outside, and use repellant. Senior citizens and those with suppressed immune systems are most susceptible to become ill. Check your state or country for reports.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is warning doctors and patients that certain brands of widely used type 2 diabetes drugs may, in rare cases, cause a flesh-eating bacterial infection of the genitals. The drugs covered by the warning include Johnson & Johnson’s Invokana, AstraZeneca Plc’s Farxiga and Eli Lilly & Co.’s Jardiance.

Nationwide, treatment experts say they’re seeing a surge in Xanax use disorders among adolescents and young adults.

As more and more American communities grapple with opioid addiction, the human toll of the epidemic has grown in both scope and severity. And now, scientists at the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife have found evidence that the drug’s impact has literally flowed downstream to affect marine life. Specifically, they used mussels as a barometer of pollution in the waters off Seattle, and discovered that oxycodone is now present enough in the marine environment there for shellfish to test positive.

Scientists have found antibiotic-resistant bacteria throughout Germany’s waterways.

The latest emergence of the Ebola virus in the Democratic Republic of Congo’s conflict-ridden east is proving to be the most dangerous in years. 72 out of 111 patients who have been infected have died, making this outbreak the deadliest in over a decade in the Congo. Health officials are concerned about containing the virus.

Persecution of Christians: Friendship Village, a non-profit Christian retirement care facility in Missouri, is being sued after it turned away a lesbian couple in accordance with its biblically-based housing policy (clearly stated on its website).

A company that runs a senior-living center in Fredericksburg, Virginia, has decided that a Bible study is a “business” and has threatened to evict retired Lutheran pastor Ken Hauge and his wife for conducting one in their residence. “Evicting elderly residents from their home for holding a Bible study is not only outrageous, it’s illegal,” asserts First Liberty Institute.

A community association in Thousand Oaks, California, is trying to prevent a church from renting a building formerly rented by the YMCA.

A federal judge in Massachusetts has endorsed a city of Boston program that is censoring the Christian flag because it’s “religious.”

Anti-Semitism: Snapchat apologized after the app listed New York City as “Jewtropolis” due to its use of a third-party open-source mapping database.

Lawlessness: David Katz, the shooter in Jacksonville, Florida, who left 3 dead and 11 wounded on August 26th before taking his own life, was a member of the Trump resistance, referring to supporters as Trumptards. Katz began shooting shortly after he lost the Madden NFL gaming tournament.

In West London, residents put up large wooden barricades around their properties in advance of the annual British African-Caribbean Notting Hill Carnival that took place August 26-27. The event has a history of violence which has only gotten worse in recent years. Police officers dread the event because they get disrespected and even assaulted.

In Germany, one citizen died and two were injured in a stabbing by an Iraqi and a Syrian man. Police were accused of leaking identities of the suspects to an extremist group. Nights of protests have followed with violence.

Terrorism: In Somalia, a suicide bomber attacked a government office in Mogadishu, causing a nearby school to collapse. The car bomb killed three soldiers and injured 14 people, including six children.

A Muslim couple accused of training children to carry out mass shootings at an “extremist” compound in the New Mexico desert singled out an Atlanta, Georgia, hospital as one target before police arrested them.

The Trump administration will cut $200 million in US aid to the “Palestinian” Authority until if and when it receives assurances that the PA and Hamas will spend the aid to improve the lives of their own people and not on funding terrorism directed at Israel. This is inflaming the terrorists. Oh well, now they can hate us for free.

Islamization: Administrators at Ripon College in Wisconsin ruled that a Sept. 11 memorial can’t take place on campus because it may offend Muslim students.

California celebrated Islam in August with Muslim Appreciation Month. Do they have a Christian or Jewish Appreciation Month? No.

The Left’s traitorous agenda: President Trump urged evangelical leaders to get out the vote for the upcoming congressional elections and warned of “violence” by opponents if Republicans lose control of Congress. He warned, “You’re one election away from losing everything you’ve got.” He said, if Democrats win, they “will overturn everything that we’ve done and they’ll do it quickly and violently.” He specifically mentioned so-called anti-fascist groups (who are the real fascists).

Far left billionaire George Soros has been systematically targeting district attorney races throughout the US. Several of his candidates have already won. His goal is to create havoc. One of them is Kim Gardner who has banned 28 policemen from testifying in court. She calls it an exclusion list. Gardner did not tell the officers what they did to get on her list.

Here is a list of the top ten instances where the Deep State FBI, DOJ and CIA spies attempted to set up the Trump campaign and administration.

President Trump has threatened to withdraw the US from the World Trade Organization (WTO), claiming it treats the US unfairly. There’s no doubt of that; it was the same with the Paris “climate change” aka global governance agenda.

Teachers in Portland, Oregon, Public Schools are being given a teaching guide called “Planning to Change The World – A Plan Book For Social Justice Teachers,” that praises Islam, Che Guevara and the Black Panthers. It’s to be expected from this city that has the popular Voodoo Doughnuts and headquarters of Naral that is promoting Rocky Roe V. Wade ice cream.

With the American left, the Democratic Party, and the establishment news media displaying ever-more bizarre symptoms of Trump Derangement Syndrome, a veteran psychiatrist makes the case that the mental-emotional world of leftists is tantamount to a mental disorder. “Like spoiled, angry children, they rebel against the normal responsibilities of adulthood and demand that a parental government meet their needs from cradle to grave.”

From Arutz Sheva: Is the mainstream media the enemy of the people? The verdict: Yes. Numbers are twisted, facts omitted, lies spun like thread in order to pile the dirt on the man who defeated Hillary. And so it goes with the…media.”

In Georgia, Lara Zelski, principal of the liberal Atlanta Neighborhood Charter School, announced that the school was dropping the Pledge of Allegiance for a more inclusive oath to global society.

Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) pressured MasterCard and Visa to stop processing donations to the conservative David Horowitz Freedom Center (DHFC). DHFC’s mission is “to defend free societies under attack from enemies within and without. Thanks to conservative sites exposing this, they reinstated DHFC’s fundraising status. But SPLC’s leftist crusade will continue. SPLC’s Mark Potok once said of organizations that don’t support their liberal left ideology: “Our aim in life is to destroy these groups, to completely destroy them.”

President Trump is correct in accusing social media of being biased against conservative views. Senior Facebook engineer Brian Amerige admitted it. Since then, over 100 Facebook employees (out of the 25,000 employed) agreed and formed an online group called FB’ers for Political Diversity.

Google-owned YouTube has been caught meddling in the Swedish national election on the eve of the vote by repeatedly deleting right-wing content. Also, a new report has exposed Google News for suppressing conservative news sources while favoring left-bias media outlets, particularly CNN.

George Soros is spending large sums of money to buy up shares of social media stock. Smell the agenda.

The press continues to feed the dying Russia collusion conspiracy theory, spending Friday’s news cycle regurgitating Democrat talking points from the just-filed Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act lawsuit against the Trump campaign, WikiLeaks, and Russia. Yet the mainstream media took no notice of last week’s federal court filing that exposes an $84 million money-laundering conspiracy the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton campaign executed during the 2016 presidential election in violation of federal campaign-finance law.

France’s President Emmanuel Macron calls for involving Russia in the process of providing security in Europe. “Europe can no longer rely on the US to provide its security. It is up to us today to take our responsibilities and guarantee our own security, and thus have European sovereignty,” he said.

Brazil is sending its army to the Venezuelan border to “guarantee law and order” amid an influx of migrants fleeing the failing socialist country.

Wars and rumors of wars: Russia has deployed warships and aircraft from four different fleets to Syria’s coast as it launches a historic drill, despite concerns that Moscow and its allies are preparing for a bloody showdown in Idlib. The drill is “the first in Russia’s contemporary history” of its kind.

As the Syrian regime prepares an offensive on the last rebel stronghold, there are concerns for the 3 million citizens there, many of whom fled to Idlib previously in the ongoing conflict. Senior US officials have issued a warning, saying the US “will respond to any verified chemical weapons use in Idlib or elsewhere in Syria … in a swift and appropriate manner.”

New satellite images of an area in northwestern Syria show the establishment a new Iranian surface-to-surface missile factory which may house weapons capable of striking Israel. Also, Iran is moving missiles to Iraq in a further buildup, giving it the ability to hit regional foes. A top navy general in Iran said the country has taken full control of the Gulf and the Strait of Hormuz, a major shipping route. Yet the EU pledged $21 million to keep Obama’s catastrophic Iran Nuclear Deal alive.

Several powerful explosions rocked a military air base in Damascus on Saturday night, hitting an ammunition depot there. There are conflicting reports as to the cause. Some say it was a missile strike (likely from Israel). Others claim it was due to an electrical problem.

Senior Iraqi military commanders hosted their Russian, Iranian, and Syrian counterparts in Iraq on September 1st to discuss security cooperation and information-sharing in the Middle East. On September 7 there will be a three-way summit between Russia, Iran and Turkey—the big three that is prophesied in the Bible to invade Israel in the days ahead.

It is being alleged by Lebanese media that the US, during a secret meeting in Damascus, told the Syrian regime that US forces would leave the country on the condition that Iranian forces fully withdraw from southern Syria. The offer was rejected; and as a matter of fact, on Monday  Iran and Syria signed a deal for military cooperation which provides for the continued “presence and participation” of Iran in Syria. Russia has previously called it “absolutely unrealistic” to expect a complete Iranian withdrawal from Syria, and Assad had indicated that relations with Iran and its presence in Syria were non-negotiable.

Russia will hold its biggest war games in nearly forty years from 9/11 to 9/15, a massive military exercise involving almost 300,000 troops, 36,000 vehicles and over 1,000 military aircraft. Chinese and Mongolian armies will also participate with 3,200 troops, over 900 pieces of land equipment and 30 aircraft.

The UN (United Netherworld) Security Council warned that violations of the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel could lead to a new conflict, and urged international support for Lebanon’s armed forces and their stepped-up deployment in the south and at sea. This came in a resolution adopted unanimously, extending the mandate of the UN peacekeeping force in southern Lebanon until August 31, 2019. Are they concerned about Lebanon’s Hezbollah terrorists starting something or just wanting to create a buildup against Israel?

The Buddhists and Muslims in Myanmar are in continuing conflict. Monks in the Buddhist-majority country claim Buddhists have been targeted by Muslim extremists. There are allegations of genocide against the Muslim population, whom the Buddhists want out of the country.

Nation (ethnic) against nation (ethnic): In South Africa as land confiscation looms, the government ruled that 300,000 gun owners must turn in their firearms. Members of the far-left South African Economic Freedom Fighter party, led by Parliament member Julius Malema, were recorded promoting the death of white people in a recent video. Unfortunately, these innocent farmers whose descendants on the land go back for centuries, appear to be paying the price for what some in the South Africa government did during the apartheid era decades ago.

Speaking of that era, former police detective-turned-investigative author Mark Minne was found dead just days after publishing a book exposing a high-level government pedophile ring (involving 3 specific leaders) going back decades in South Africa. The cause of death is blamed on suicide – highly unlikely.

“And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret” (Ephesians 5:11-12).

Depravity: Lingerie brand HommeMystere is making lacy bras, underwear and sleepwear for men.

Scotland proposed to let people simply identify as either man or woman, or something else, alleviating them of any obligation to undergo treatment or counseling. The most extreme supporters proposed that children be allowed to change their sex on their birth certificate even if their parents object.

In a new academic piece published in the journal Feminist Theory, Professor Lauran Whitworth of St. Mary’s College of Maryland defines the increasingly popular term “ecosexual” as a person who takes the earth as their lover. She includes a description of one “ecosexual” individual’s first sexual encounter with a redwood tree at Yosemite National Park.

A new semester is starting, and with it another litany of college courses that are more liberal left than the last. This year’s highlights include courses that teach university students to read the Bible through the lens of homosexual, or queer, literary theory and another that promises to “queer” childhood. And also there’s the feminist approach to the Bible.

In Montgomery County, Maryland, the public school system will provide condoms at four high schools. Some council members want to make them available at all 25 of the county’s high schools and even for 40 middle schools. They blame the increase of STD’s in the US on their decision. So, they encourage them to have sex rather than tell them to abstain.

The California Assembly voted to approve legislation that would require all public colleges and universities by 2022 to provide chemical abortion pills in their campus health centers and provide medical backup.

Three Pennsylvania men, Terry Wallace, Marc Measnikoff, and Matthew Brubaker face over 1,400 counts of sex with animals after a 16-year-old who lived on the farm alerted police. They’re charged with animal cruelty, endangering the welfare of children and corruption of minors. The proof is in the videos they filmed. These men are still on social media displaying their animals.

In Oklahoma in America’s Bible belt that is 80% Christian, Adam Daniels is the “dastur” (high priest) of the Church of Ahriman (god of evil & darkness in Persian mythology and in Zoroastrianism). He says, “Through my words and my deeds, I am offending God; and that is my whole goal, to make his people miserable, to bring about apostates, to bring about anguish.”

The darkness in the Catholic church is being exposed, despite many of the leftist media defending the Vatican’s cover-ups – because the pope is a liberal. Why does Francis cover up sexual abuse by priests? Remember this Associated Press article dated February 25, 2017 that detailed Francis’ quiet efforts to reduce penalties and sanctions imposed by his predecessors on sexual abuser priests, including pedophile priests, as part of “his vision of a merciful church.”

Former top Vatican diplomat, Archbishop Viganò, claims the Vatican hierarchy covered up accusations that Cardinal McCarrick sexually abused minors and adult seminarians and that Francis knew about the abuses years before they became public. Yet, Francis didn’t punish the cardinal, but empowered him to help choose powerful American bishops. Catholic archbishop of Chicago Cardinal Cupich defended the allegations, saying the pope has a “bigger agenda” to worry about, such as protecting the environment and migrants. So that’s a bigger agenda than the sexual abuse of children?

In an NBC interview, Cardinal Cupich had the audacity to suggest that people who believe allegations against the pope “don’t like him because he is a Latino.” Archbishop Viganò referred to Cardinal Cupich as a man “blinded by his pro-gay ideology” who was appointed as archbishop outside of normal Church protocols because of the powerful backing of three influential cardinals, including McCarrick.

Speaking of McCarrick, he promoted all the so-called holy books of non-Christian religions including Islam’s Quran, noting their “sense of humanity.” Islam, as everyone should be aware, is promoted in their catechism #841 as having “first place” besides the Catholic church. Yet, the Bible tells Christians not to be yoked with unbelievers? (2 Corinthians 6:14). The one-world religion (Rev 17) is being formed by Rome.

A horrendous report came out in the news this week of abuse of children, mostly by Catholic-run institutions:

In Vermont, USA: Decades of physical and sexual abuse, and murder at St. Joseph’s Catholic Orphanage. See video of survivors speaking here. Read article here. In the video, other headlines were mentioned as examples to research. They are as follows:

In Australia: Castledare orphanage near Perth, run by the Catholic organization called the Christian Brothers order, was like “a legal pedophile ring.” A five-year inquiry found tens of thousands of children had suffered abuse in Australian institutions. The Catholic Church had the most cases.

In Ireland: ‘Endemic’ rape and abuse of Irish children in Catholic care. An inquiry finds beatings and humiliation by nuns and priests were common at institutions that held up to 30,000 children.

In Canada: Children at the Guy Hill Roman Catholic Residential School were physically and sexually abused for over a century.

In Scotland: Over 400 children who died at a The Smyllum Park Orphanage Scottish orphanage run by Catholic nuns were buried in a single unmarked grave, according to a joint investigation by the BBC and Scotland’s Sunday Post. There are headstones for graves of nuns and staff members buried in the cemetery, but no stone or memorial has ever recorded names of the lost children.

In Germany, it went on in many institutions post war. Between 1945 and 1970, the worst practices of the Nazi era continued virtually unabated in barrack-like foster homes: ritual beatings, solitary confinement, forced labor and sexual assaults in homes run by nuns and priests in former West Germany’s Catholic and Protestant churches, as well as state-run homes.

More than 800 priests, nuns, monks and teachers created an “endemic” culture of child sex abuse in Catholic schools and residential homes over almost 80 years, an inquiry has found.

“But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light. Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil” (Ephesians 5:13-16).
