The Charismatic Movement
“Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained” (1 Timothy 4:1, 6 KJV).
“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables” (2 Timothy 4:3-4).
“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed. For do I now persuade men, or God? or do I seek to please men? for if I yet pleased men, I should not be the servant of Christ” (Galatians 1:8-10).
“Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?” (Galatians 4:16).
One of Jesus’ most repeated warnings concerning the last days was that of us not falling under the spell of myriad deceptions. The Holy Spirit, writing through the Apostle Paul, warned us that there would come a time when people would no longer endure sound (healthy; correct) doctrine but would instead follow “doctrines of devils” (1 Timothy 4:1).
We know also that Satan’s agenda goes back millennia – all the way back to before the Fall of man. Religion deception has been his favorite tool ever since Adam and Eve fell in the Garden of Eden. In fact, the first act of “religion” was Adam and Eve’s post-Fall attempt to cover themselves by an act of their own work; sewing fig leaves together in a vain attempt to hide their sin, in an attempt to make themselves presentable before God; trying to hide and minimize their sin by using their own efforts.
This behavior was in essence the very first act of religion.
We know too that the lie which Satan used to beguile Eve has NEVER changed. Just like a composer of music who writes compositions will take a main theme or melody and, using that basic musical phrase, will repeat that same melody in differing variations, he (Satan) uses variations on the same theme too. It’s the same old “Hath God said…” melody that is his main theme of deceit.
Satan has merely continued to play variations on that same theme for millennia.
Religion, not atheism, has been Satan’s most effective weapon; because, created into the very fabric of man’s soul is an innate desire to worship. God alone is the only Being who can fill that void. And Satan, knowing this, has used religion to tempt man into filling that void with anything and everything BUT the Most High God—who alone can fully fill that void and bring reconciliation between Holy God and fallen man. That void can only be filled by our Redeemer.
Since religion is Satan’s most effective tool in deceiving mankind, we need to examine how he has been using this tool to such good effect.
You see, ALL religions are corrupt. Religion itself is nothing more than fallen man’s utterly futile attempt to satisfy the justice of God through man’s own fallen, “filthy rags” righteousness – by man’s own efforts APART from God.
Therefore, as we continue on, we must understand that – in looking at this deception – we are NOT dealing with denominations, but with doctrine. It is doctrine according to the scriptures that matters. It is the doctrine taught in scripture that is to be the plumb line – the only objective, immutable standard of measure against which ALL that is taught or believed must be measured.
Scripture alone defines, establishes, and differentiates sound doctrine from false doctrine, right from wrong, truth from lies, the sacred from the profane. The truth of “thus saith the Lord” according to the scriptures is THE standard of all that is correct and defines all else that is error. Because the infallible, inerrant, immutable and preserved Word of the Living God alone is our standard, there is where we must go to determine what to believe and accept by faith and what, by its (scripture’s) standards, we must reject.
Only within the pages of the written, already authenticated, objective and fully preserved word of God will we find the solid Rock of Truth. ALL OTHER subjective, unsubstantiated, and unverifiable extra- biblical “revelations” or “new “prophecies” or “words of knowledge” MUST be rejected because God has authored and closed the already proven and verifiable full canon of scripture; and upon it and it alone rests the non-negotiable Truth.
In this article, I want to examine some deeply disturbing things taking place in differing denominations, cults, and false religions of all stripes.
Although I will mainly be focusing on the Charismatic denominations in this article, I in no way wish to diminish the false, unscriptural doctrines of other denominations equally as false in their mishandling of scripture: those such as Rick Warren’s “seeker sensitive” movement or Brian McLaren ‘s “emergent church” heresies. These are equally as heretical, but they are for another discussion at another time.
In this article, the focus will be upon the Charismatic movement as it relates to pagan cults and the alien agenda. I am sure this article will offend many. It is not my intention to deliberately offend, but Truth must be told. It may sound unloving; but as the quote goes, “Truth sounds like hate to those who hate truth.”
In this day and age, tolerance has replaced the true meaning of love as defined by the Bible. The rallying cry of ALL false religion is “unity at all costs.” However, the Bible says something diametrically different.
The ONLY unity that can ever be is the unity of the “narrow way” as defined by the author of scripture who is God Himself. Truth IS divisive. It is meant to be. Therefore, when truth is spoken it does divide and offend. Truth is offensive because it IS truth. Because there is an absolute; because only ONE THING can be true that by necessity makes all other things false.
This is offensive to those who want a “broad road” approach to belief. Of course, the Bible tells us exactly where that “broad road” leads.
In this article, we are going to explore the physical, emotional, and spiritual manifestations and beliefs that are accepted and practiced among the modern-day Charismatic movements, pagan religions, and the exploding extra-terrestrial movement. Believe it or not, each of these things – sermons, lyrics, different movements – has a connection. It may be offensive to some to hear this, but we dare not shrink away from Truth just because it is offensive. Truth always is offensive to those being deceived and to those doing the deceiving, but who is the ultimate deceiver but Satan the Father of Lies.
What struck me in learning the background of the Charismatic movement, that began to become mainstream with the Azusa Street “revival,” was its connection to the occult from its very inception.
Those early leaders of it such as Kathryn Kuhlman whose roots were steeped in the occult, Kenneth Hagan, C. Peter Wagner and many others – in fact the very premise and aim of the Charismatic / NAR/ Dominionist/Kingdom Now/Kansas City Prophets/Vineyard/IHOP/Latter Rain/Toronto Blessing/Third Wave/New Wineskins movements (among others) all have the same goals in common: all have been and are enchanted and seduced by the same lure of “hidden knowledge” and “enhanced wisdom” to understand the esoteric; to be able to “command” spiritual forces; and to become more than what we are which is justly condemned sinners in need of a Savior.
Those who are enamored of such things were always on the fringe of normal mainstream (once) Biblically sound adherents. However, the Azusa Street “revival” burst onto the scene, and the entire unholy spirit realm suddenly became popular and mainstream.
The lure of secret knowledge and power within the Charismatic movement is also the same in all pagan cults and religions, and within those who channel and make physical or psychic contact with so-called extraterrestrial entities. They each have the same goals that come with the same manifestations.
The effects are also frighteningly the same in all:
ecstatic sensual experiences;
altered states of consciousness;
involuntary jerking body movements;
strange incoherent babblings;
demonic laughter;
periods of apparent cataleptic paralysis;
staggering or drunken behavior;
growling like animals;
body movements and expressions that take on the characteristics of animals;
guttural, often inarticulate speech or actually speaking in a voice utterly unlike one’s own;
in some cases the presence of luminous lights or auras;
and in some rare cases the actual manifestation or teleportation of objects, and unusual smells or odors.
ALL of these things, including being so-called “slain in the spirit” (which is not at all Biblical), are ALL the VERY SAME PHENOMENA that characterize every pagan religion known to man including Hinduism; Buddhism; Islam; the island religions of Santeria and Vodou; including the multitude of Native American pagan beliefs; as well as the pagan, demonic spiritual beliefs of all other indigenous and aboriginal peoples. In fact, these very same manifestations occurring within the Charismatic movements are also part and parcel of every pagan cult and false religion on earth.
The experiences and manifestations in each are IDENTICAL.
Sadly, not many in the Church at large know, understand, or want to accept this. For confirmation of these things, please go FIRST to the scriptures. Study and examine these teachings in light of the whole counsel of scripture. Study each fully and in context of each book, chapter, passage and verse. Study them all literally, and IN CONTEXT.
Then, read the books authored by former New Ager, Warren Smith, beginning with his first book, THE LIGHT THAT WAS DARK. Also read Johanna Michaelson’s book, THE BEAUTIFUL SIDE OF EVIL, or watch the films (available on YouTube under the name Jeremiah Films) of the late Caryl Matrischania, or the late Dave Hunt’s books: THE SEDUCTION OF CHRISTIANITY, THE OCCULT INVASION, and AMERICA:THE SORCERER’S NEW APPRENTICE, for starters.
What is even less well known is that all of these same false teachings and physical and psychic manifestations also appear in the UFO/ALIEN agenda as well. Most of the ones who call themselves contactees – those who “channel” these so called ET’s – are channeling the SAME messages taught and propagated by those of the WOF ilk, and other pagan religions such as:
the teachings of “personal godhood,” of the “divine nature of man;”
of a coming new evolutionary leap or “ascension of consciousness” for mankind – a “new age dawning;”
a new “kingdom” coming where man himself can decree and create a better world,
or where those who are “initiated” or who are “awakened” to the knowledge of their own “godhood’” can choose to ascend into a parallel world among an infinite number of worlds in an infinite number of multiverses,
or who can opt to remain here and “bring in the kingdom” in THIS world.
How interesting then that the very same supernatural manifestations listed above that are part and parcel of the Charismatic movement and pagan religions, are present in these alien encounters as well. The tie that binds all of these seemingly different belief systems together is the same teachings that lie at the very heart of charismatic belief; that God has in some way short-changed man; that Satan is really the rightful god; that Satan and Jesus are one and the same, or that man can “speak reality into existence.”
They espouse the belief that there is no Supreme God, or if there is, He is in some way impotent without us to “decree” or “command” this or that, or that “god” or the universe, or our “ascended masters” (all the same things to them) exists to do OUR bidding as if the Holy God of Glory were nothing more than some cosmic genie or a heavenly bellhop beholden to cater to the carnal, narcissistic whims of fallen man.
The idea that we can become MORE than what we are, and that we can create our own reality, our own “kingdom” by the words of our mouths is nothing more than Far Eastern Transcendentalism repackaged. It’s yet another variation on Satan’s lie that we merely need to learn how to evolve spiritually – the self- same message being channeled through the so-called ET’s (who are NOT extraterrestrials at all but extra-dimensional beings).
Their message is also that we need to embrace such advances as Artificial Intelligence; that they can teach us how to perfect human cloning; to embrace human/animal/other chimeras so that when our current, insufficient bodies die, our consciousness can be transferred into another body or machine because the goal is not submission to God, but rather God’s submission to us.
The Charismatic movement has always been somewhat like the bastard child of the Roman Catholic Church (with their high-priced, smooth-talking televangelists acting as priests or popes). In fact, the RCC in its true Identity is really nothing more than the ancient Babylonian mystery religions amalgamated together with the names of the pagan “deities” changed and presented under false guises into the Vatican and the RCC.
Now, in recent days, the entire Charismatic movement is running back to Rome as fast as possible. Rome herself (the great “whore of Babylon”) is shedding her snake skin, beginning to reveal her own true character and serpent worship. Rome herself is ready to baptize and embrace our “extraterrestrial progenitors” – the ones from whom we, according to the aliens, “really” came. And who should be right there standing beside the current pope, smiling like the serpent he is? Why, it’s none other than the WOF “pope” himself, Kenneth Copeland, standing right beside the ET-loving head of the Roman Catholic cult, Francis 1 of Rome.
All of these heresies and blasphemies that are taught and embraced by the WOF/NAR/Kingdom Now/Dominionists et al, the RCC, the ET’s and all other false religions are nothing other than variations on Satan’s original lie of “ye shall be as gods.”
What we are seeing now is the convergence of them all coming together: The false WOF movement with its enticing lure to man’s prurient fleshly desires for money, power, physical health and sensual pleasures and fame is merging with the RCC whose pope now says that anyone can go to heaven apart from salvation according to the scriptures; that even bad people can be “good enough” for God (blatantly unscriptural); and that “more blood has been shed by those who claim to follow Christ anyway” (another egregious lie)
The same RCC who not only believes openly in extraterrestrial life, but who has spent BILLIONS of dollars in the Vatican’s active and ongoing search for extraterrestrial life. The convergence of these alien entities themselves whose channeled messages include the acceptance of ALL “religions” – except the one that claims to be THE exclusive truth (Biblical Christianity) of course – is the same belief as Rome and all New Age, new revelatory beliefs of every cult and religion that stands in diametrical opposition to the teaching of scripture.
The same message from all of these is the same – that those who follow the God of the Bible as defined by scripture, those “fundamentalist Christians” (we) are DANGEROUS. Indeed Truth is ALWAYS dangerous to lies.
How interesting then that the SAME physical and spiritual manifestations as well as the same unbiblical messages are being channeled and experienced by these so-called aliens as are taught and experienced by the modern WOF/NAR type cults.
The old saying of “if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and swims like a duck…” applies here as well; if the false cults, false religions, and extraterrestrial aliens all lie like a demon, smell like a demon, act like a demon, manifest and possess like a demon, then hey, these things along with their false teachings ARE demons teaching nothing more than those self-same “doctrines of devils” about which we have been warned.
