Ever wonder why our government has done nothing at all to defend our electric grids, nor to update, nor secure them, even though they’ve been formally and painstakingly informed on numerous occasions? This isn’t a partisan issue. Wonder why we see this in the news (both mainstream/liberal and conservative) every day now? And for some strange reason, now they are only “concerned” about North Korean capability, not bothering to note any other threat from any other nation (and/or terrorist organization) in regard to EMP’s and/or graphite bombs, etc.?
Funny how we had billions to send to Iran (both illegally and unconstitutionally without citizen’s consent, without even Congress’ consent), and yet we don’t “have” one cent to protect and upgrade our electric grids? The State Dept. under Hillary’s tenure “lost” six billion. That’s just two examples among hundreds. But to be fair, it wasn’t just the Obama administration that mishandled US taxpayer money. The Pentagon supposedly “lost” 2.3 trillion $$$ (and admitted it) on 9/10/01; and here we are 16 years later with no answers as to where that money went? Half of that (1 trillion) would be enough to build, secure, and defend new power grids all over the US, yet Congress hasn’t bothered to appropriate one cent towards it? How “coincidental” — just like the news 24/7 pushing this EMP narrative.
I don’t like coincidences. Most often they aren’t coincidental at all.
We’ve seen an all-out campaign against national sovereignty, and even against the Constitution and our founding documents. A person can’t even get away from the political rhetoric. We’re being force-fed in movies, TV, sports, music, and any other venue that in the past was used to entertain or escape the constant news and social-media push for globalism; it’s no longer able to be ignored. Why?
The globalists are in the “do or die” mode now as they realize, if there are to be more elections, they will lose more seats (not just Democrats, but establishment Republicans). Backed into a corner, the rabid ones have to pull off something major to keep their globalist ambitions and promises of power and wealth. They won’t let go of these goals. And no, they won’t go quietly into the background and wait for future elections as they have in the past. The rules have changed; and even if a person has no interest in politics or nationalism v/s globalism, they are being force fed the propaganda 24/7, and there is no escape from it.
As for an EMP (or similar event), it would solve a lot of the globalists’ problems. They would be the ones to benefit most by such an occurrence. There isn’t anything a person can do to prepare for an EMP (or similar event). If the power grid were to go down, and if electronic components inside phones, computers, cars, cash registers, etc. were to be fried along with it, there would be massive death on a scale never before seen. You could stock up food and water ahead of time, but the likelihood that you and/or your family would be able to actually use those supplies for long without being killed is minimal. If you had a gas-driven generator, you wouldn’t be able to procure the gas to use it. If you had a solar-generated generator, that also would be fried along with the phones and computers, etc.
It’s estimated that it would take years to rebuild the power grids and resupply basic electricity. It’s not a pretty picture. No matter how long it took, within just a few days the weakest among us would be first to die from lack of medication or medical care, and soon people would be killing each other over food and/or supplies. Venezuela is a mini-picture of how just part of that would go — inflation so high that a loaf of bread would cost a day’s wages. People are killing each other over food in Venezuela, and they aren’t even out of electricity in all areas (of course many in the US are blissfully unaware of what’s even going on there or why).
Anyone ever read Revelation 6:6-8? Sound familiar? Read on to the next verse (v.9) and see that an entire one-fourth of the world’s population will be wiped out during that time, many by starvation. That’s not the only event that wipes out a huge portion of the world’s population. Revelation 9:15 and 9:18 foretell another one- third of the world’s population will be wiped out then. Combined total, that’s over half of the world’s population. And those two events occur during the first half of the Tribulation. Just the first half! That’s not even noting that one-third of all freshwater in the world will become poisonous (Revelation 8:10-11).
Sadly, there are those who think they are “Rambo tough” enough to survive that. They actually don’t believe God’s word when Jesus promised to deliver us (grace-age believers) from the wrath to come (1 Thessalonians 1:10; Rom.5:9; 1 Thessalonians 5:9). They don’t believe that Jesus paid for their sins. They think they have to “help” Him with works, even though we grace-age believers are told numerous times that we are saved by grace through faith, not of works.
There will be works involved in the Tribulation. Just avoiding the mark of the beast will be a huge work. Those who refuse to worship the image of the beast will be killed (Revelation 13:15). Anyone who rejects the mark won’t be able to buy or sell (no way to procure even groceries or water, much less anything else), and the mark also comes with the mandate to worship the image of the beast; any who refuse to worship the image will be killed. (Revelation 13:15-18). And yet anyone who does accept the mark will be eternally damned to the torments of hell for eternity (Revelation 14:9-11). I hurt for those who are soon to enter this time period. Yet they do not want to know what’s coming.
No one wants to hear what they call that “doom and gloom” stuff. That is called “normalcy bias” — the belief that because for a person’s entire life nothing truly horrific like that ever happened (in their own experience), then to them, in their minds, nothing ever will. Secular psychologists would call that “preservation mode,” but in fact it’s the very thing that will not preserve them.
The fact that they’ve never considered such a thing could happen in their lifetimes, or even considered God’s word to be truth, is going to catch them unprepared. Not only will they be unprepared physically and emotionally (who can be for such events?), but more importantly, they aren’t prepared spiritually for eternity.
It’s even to the point where it’s futile to warn others about the coming events. Even though we see much of Bible prophecy aligned as foretold, to the unsaved world it’s just “coincidental.”
Over the last few years I’ve “met” (online) several hundreds of others who profess they believe in Jesus for salvation, and yet many of them don’t believe the rest of the Bible. How can that be? They choose (or said they did) to believe Jesus died for their sins, but yet they believe nothing else He said (such as Matthew 24 speaking of some of the events to come in the Tribulation, as more fully expounded upon in Daniel and Revelation, as well as much OT prophecy).
What kind of “Jesus” do they actually believe in? Certainly not the One in scripture: the One who has revealed Himself to us in His word. No, they’ve made up in their own minds their idea of whom they think Jesus should be — the suffering, mild-mannered Lamb who came to die on the cross for our sins. Many of them don’t even believe He was buried and rose three days later. They don’t realize He is also the Lion from the tribe of Judah who will come back with fierce wrath upon an evil and disbelieving world; His eyes as a flame or fire, His vesture dipped in blood (and this time not His own precious blood). Neither do they believe that He’s coming to smite the nations, that He Himself is going to tread the “winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.”
No, they don’t want to hear about those attributes. To them it’s even foreign that He called the Pharisees and Sadducees “vipers” and “white sepulchers full of dead men’s bones.” They don’t know that He overthrew the moneychangers’ tables in the temple. To them, He never judged — never raised His voice and rebuked unsound doctrine. Why? Because they’ve never read the Bible themselves.
They don’t know Christ; they only know a figment of their imagination. They’ve latched onto a “don’t judge” verse taken out of context (speaking of hypocrisy of those who do the same things) and attempted to apply it to other Christians. They couldn’t find the verse themselves, but rather have heard it from one of their false teachers who spew false doctrines that their itching ears want to hear — mere fables (2 Timothy 4:3-4).
And that’s where we are today. Those who think the Bible is to be seen as an “a la carte” pick- and-choose menu from which they may choose what they want to believe (.0000001%) and discard the rest. Or worse, they apply pre-cross doctrine to a post-cross world — not having a clue what it was or wasn’t written to and what is about them and what is not — not even having a clue why the cross was necessary and vital to comprehend.
They don’t want to hear the rest of God’s word when it isn’t pleasing to the flesh, and definitely not something that’s going to convict of sin. They scream “shut up” if you post a Bible verse. Freedom of speech (to them) means freedom FROM speech that offends and convicts their conscience. They want to shut down anything that doesn’t soothe and coddle them. They want to continue on in sin. Romans 1:18-32 and 2 Timothy 3:1-7, 13 foretold this would be the case. Here we are, and the world has been lulled to sleep by the devil.
For a few thousand years the devil has used the “cast doubt” approach which started in the garden when the serpent said to Eve… “Yea, hath God said?” That slimy serpent wanted to cast doubt on God’s word. He’s used that tactic for a long time. But now? He doesn’t even need to use that tactic. People don’t know what God’s word says, even though it’s available to them in every known format. Instead they don’t just doubt; they don’t believe the Bible altogether, even though they’ve never read it themselves, as if they somehow know more than God who created all things.
The world can’t even predict the weather right from day to day. They can’t control the weather around the globe either, and yet they think they know more than God? It wouldn’t even be possible for them to be so deceived if they had believed in Christ for salvation. But since they’ve willfully chosen to disbelieve, God has given them up and given them over to a reprobate mind (Romans 1:18-32); and once that happens they can’t recognize truth from fiction at all. There is nothing they will prohibit themselves from doing when they have been given over to a reprobate mind. It’s whatever “feels good” at the moment, who cares who it hurts? Some even “get their jollies” by hurting others and even by murdering their own babies in the womb. They “shout out” their abortions as if that were something to be proud of.
The devil is proud of it, that’s for sure, but he isn’t going to give them any special privileges in hell. It won’t be a party; in fact the devil himself doesn’t “run” hell. He also will be cast into the lake of fire for eternity (Revelation 20:10).
I wouldn’t wish hell, or even the coming seven-year tribulation, on my worst enemy. And yet people are willingly choosing to go there by rejecting their only means of escape. Why? Because to repent, they would have to admit they are sinners. That’s not something most are willing to do, even though the Bible tells us we are all sinners (Romans 3:23). They want to think of themselves as “good people,” comparing themselves to other people (2 Corinthians 10:12), not wanting to think for even one moment that we can never (ourselves) come close to the righteousness of God Himself. They’ve decided instead to make up their own version of what they want to believe ‘righteousness’ is.
Romans 10:3 “For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.”
If only they’d recognize they are (as we all are) sinners, they would then see the need for salvation. But that one little step is too huge a ‘cost’ to them. They don’t want to take that hard look at themselves and recognize the sin. They don’t want to admit that Jesus is fully righteous in comparison. Jesus is the only way to God the Father (John 14:6), the only propitiation (acceptable payment) for our sins (Romans 3:25; 1 John 2:2; 1 John 4:10), the only mediator and advocate between ourselves and God (1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 9:15; 1 John 2:1).
There is no other way, and we are so very blessed to have even been given the opportunity to either accept/believe, or to reject/deny so great a salvation, because none of us deserve it. Yet He loves us so much that He offers salvation to anyone who will come to Him in belief of what HE has done.
Saddest part? I’ve wasted my time and energy typing this. The gospel is no longer being received in the US. Europe has already squashed the gospel, and churches are dead there. Sadly, the US is following their pattern. The majority of US churches are now teaching a false ‘prosperity’ gospel even though it goes against grace-age scripture.
There still may be some dear souls coming to Christ in North Korea, China, and/or Islamic nations where persecution and risk is horrific.
Once the fullness of the Gentiles has come in (Romans 11:25), this age of grace ends and the Tribulation soon commences — any moment now — and yet the world has shut its eyes and stopped its ears. They don’t want to know. They won’t believe. To them it’s all just coincidental. Just like all this talk of EMP’s and graphite bombs is all just coincidental to them. They have no clue of what’s coming, not wanting to know as well.
Soon we will reach (if we haven’t already) the time where God shuts off the drawing-in by the Holy Spirit. Soon He will say, “He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still…” (Revelation 22:11). Soon He will say, “But if any man be ignorant, let him be ignorant” (1 Corinthians 14:38). Are we there yet? Maybe. Probably. Sadly.
In fact, I don’t think I’m writing to those who would even consider the truth in scripture, but rather to those who already have recognized His word to be the final authority and truth. For us, a word of comfort: (1 Corinthians 15:49-53; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18; John 14:2-3; 1 Thessalonians 1:10 and others).
We are witnessing the final rejection of the gospel, much like Israel witnessed the rejection of Christ. The last rejection was the stoning of Stephen in Acts 7. They stopped their ears, closed their eyes, and ran upon him with one accord for daring to speak the truth. We are almost there too. This rejection, not just of the gospel, but also of God’s word altogether, is prophetic. As sad as it is to witness, it should also give us great hope in recognizing the lateness of the hour.
“And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent; the day is at hand…” (Romans 13:11-12).
We are so close to the finish line. And as each day dawns it becomes more difficult to hang in there because the devil is throwing everything he can at us — his last gut punches before we are out of his reach forever. And with this, we recognize how near our salvation is; how near is the promised redemption of these bodies. No date to set, yet we know He is near. How near the glorious appearing and blessed hope. Let’s do our best to comfort each other and “faint not” as we reach the finish line.
Even with the rapture as close as it is, we may not all reach the finish line in the way we’d desire. The devil truly is pulling out all the stops. Some of us are already fainting. Some of us who have desired (above all other things) to see His appearing (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 and 1 Cor.15:49-53) may not make it there in these bodies should the Lord tarry even for a few more months. Yet there is comfort also in knowing we will all meet in the clouds in the air. All of those in Christ who have died by that point (physical death) prior to the rapture will meet in the air. God’s word tells us that in a moment — so fast it’s in the “twinkling of an eye” – “the dead in Christ shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”
Some will be fortunate enough to have no sting of physical death, yet all of us in Christ will be victorious over the grave (1 Corinthians 15:54-57) as we receive our eternal, resurrected, glorified bodies — just like Jesus’ own body (1 John 3:2; Philippians 3:20-21). So no matter if we “sleep” (have physically already died) or “wake” (are physically alive at the rapture), we will all live together with Him (1 Thessalonians 5:10). Just one verse later, we’re told what to do about either situation — we are to comfort one another!
“Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.” (1 Thessalonians 5:11).
And with this I wish to offer the only comfort that truly matters to us believers now: the nearness of the rapture, the soon catching up of us all. Ready or not, alive or physically deceased, no matter; all in Christ will be resurrected and receive our eternal incorruptible bodies just like Jesus’ own body.
“And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.” (Romans 8:23).
We are groaning now, but soon we will be rejoicing! For those who physically can stand and not faint, hang in there. It’s not much longer. (As we study the Greek for the word “faint” used in some NT passages, we also see the dual meaning: not just “to be wearied out, utterly exhausted,” but it can also mean “spirit removed,” i.e. physical death).
And for those who may faint first, not just swooning and passing out, but physically passing on — our own bodies or those of loved ones – we also take comfort in the fact that we will all meet in the air, in the clouds, exactly as foretold.
What a precious promise and truly the only real comfort we have in these last hours of the age of grace. Let’s continue to comfort one another as we are told to do (1 Thessalonians 5:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:18) for as long as we are here. At this point it may even be more important to do this than any other thing we can do. As we’ve witnessed the total rejection from the unsaved world, and as we await the fullness of the Gentiles to “come in,” we must comfort fellow believers with scriptural truth of the foretold and promised catching up — the rapture. We’ve so much to look forward to!
