A Spurned God

The American Heritage
Dictionary’s (college
edition) definition for atheist is: One who
denies the existence of God.
The definition for an agnostic is:
Someone who believes there can be no proof
of the existence of God but does not deny
the possibility that God exists.
The definition for religion:
Belief in and reverence for a supernatural
power recognized as the creator and governor
of the universe.
The definition of faith is:
A confident belief in truth, value,
or trustworthiness of a person, idea or
thing. belief that does not rest on logical
proof or material evidence. Belief and trust
in God.
Christianity’s definition is: A
religion founded on the teaching of Jesus.
The definition for philosophy is: The
investigation of causes and laws underlying
reality.
Inquiry into the nature of things
based on logical reasoning rather than
empirical methods.
Jesus teachings were
based on faith: believing on things that are
not seen.
John
20:29 Then Jesus told him, Because you have
seen me, you have believed. Blessed are
those who have not seen and yet have
believed. Ephesians 2: 8-9 For it is by
grace you have been saved. Through faith-(emphasis
mine) and this not from yourselves, it is a
gift of God- not by works, so that no one
can boast.
The
First Amendment of our Constitution of the
United State of America: Congress shall make
no law respecting an establishment of
religion, or prohibiting the free exercise
thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech,
or of the press; or the right of the people
peaceably to assemble, and to petition the
government for
redress of grievances.
The constitution
states establishment
of
religion.
It
does not state establishment
from religion. Nothing is being said
about separation of church and state.
It
does state that congress shall not
establish ( definition : to be caused to be
recognized or accepted) an establishment of
religion or prohibit the free exercise.
The definition of
establishment means:
A powerful group that controls a
given field of activity.
An exclusive group of powerful people
who rule a government or society.
The atheist group would be classed
under establishment.
Our founding fathers knew what they
had fled from in the past, a government
establishment which they did not want. They
wanted
We
The People To have the free exercise of
their religion, whether faith based or
whatever their belief was. With the
government (courts) deciding with the
atheist groups, they are respecting an
establishment and preventing
(prohibiting free exercise) of faith
based religions.
They are accepting and recognizing
the atheist beliefs and prohibiting the free
exercise of the Christian’s belief. It is a
violation of our constitutional rights-
freedom of religion. The courts should allow
all religions the free exercise of putting
up our nativity scenes and other customary
beliefs to all religions and including the
establishments such as the atheists groups.
Anyone who knows the “true” history (note I
said true) knows that many of our founding
fathers did believe in a creator of the
universe and practiced their faith and
created the Constitution on Judean Christian
values including the Declaration of
Independence. We have had a spiraling down
trend beginning June of 1963 and the
instigator in it all was Madelyn Murray
O’Hare who ousted that prayer not be
sanctioned in schools. I remember the year
it happened, I was ten.
What have followed are the ousting of
nativity scenes, Ten Commandments, Merry
Christmas, Crosses, I could go on and on.
What we really are doing is ousting God.
The courts have agreed to oust God
and agreed with the atheists. The courts are
saying God no longer is in the constitution.
Because O’Hare was an atheist, and the
birther of a Godless constitution, the
atheists own the Godless constitution.
1 Corinthians 1:
18-21 For the message of the cross is
foolishness to those who are perishing, but
to us who are being saved it is the power of
God. For it is written: I will destroy the
wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the
intelligent I will frustrate.
Where is the wise man?
Where is the scholar?
Where is the philosopher of this age?
Has not God made foolish the wisdom
of the World?
For since in the wisdom of God the
world through its wisdom did not know Him.
God was pleased with the foolishness
of what was preached to save those who
believe.
The wisdom of this
world is the wisdom that rejects God.
Emphasizes human self-sufficiency and
makes man the highest authority and refuses
to accept God’s gift and salvation through
Jesus Christ our Lord and savior. The wisdom
God calls foolishness, for through it humans
have failed to find the truth or come to
know their creator.
The believer’s world view when
derived from the Word of God and the
revelation of the cross will be
fundamentally incompatible with the secular
worldview of human wisdom.
The foolishness of what was preached
is not the method of preaching that is
considered foolish, but the message of the
Lordship of the crucified and resurrected
Christ.
Many
say when a disaster strikes where is God?
How could He do this? I tell you where and
what do you think God did? God is a loving,
patient and just God. He will not force
himself on us.
When we kicked him out of our
schools, out of our courts, our
constitution, our congress, and government
offices, God graciously turned his back and
walked away.
We
KICKED HIM OUT!
I have tears at this writing. What
else do you think he is to do when we don’t
want Him?
It is time that we as a nation repent
and turn to God.
God has chosen to bless his people
with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit only
on conditions of repentance, i.e. turning
from sin and our surrounding corrupt
generation, and conversion , turning to God,
listening to everything Christ tells us, and
moving towards sincere obedience to Christ.

We have spurned God! But
We the People could come back to
God, and heal our fallen unhealthy
country Amen
