O Come Let Us Adore Him Every Day

By Kit R. Olsen

The well known song, “O Come Let Us Adore Him” has been a favorite of many believers for countless years. What better time of year to remember those poignant words than at Christmastime when we celebrate Christ’s birth? But these are words we should meditate upon every day.

Only He—the Lord God Almighty is worthy of adoration. But we live in a world where so many desire over-the-top recognition of whatever it is that they are trying to achieve. Celebrity status is king in this world. The Creator and mighty King of the universe is pushed aside or forgotten all together far too often. Recognition for a job well done is one thing, but striving to be a “big deal” is taking recognition too far.

In another great classic, we hear the words, “Oh Come all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant, O Come ye, oh come ye...”

Our Messiah, the King of kings and Lord of Lords reigns over all the universe. Bible prophecy is unfolding each day, and the great and mighty day when the shout of the archangel calls us home is fast approaching. How worthy He is, our great and merciful Savior to be given our undivided attention and adoration.

The word “triumphant” used in the song “Oh Come All Ye Faithful” strongly depicts God’s majesty and power. In the book of Revelation God is exceedingly triumphant! It is in that great book where Jesus’ greatest triumph is portrayed.

God’s blessings are mentioned seven times in Revelation and the Lord’s overwhelming victory is illustrated and emphasized. It is one of the most exciting books in the Bible. It is in that last, final book of the Bible wherein we are given the promise of the Lord’s Second Coming and the dawn of His literal 1000-year reign on earth—as He ushers in the millennial kingdom, the time of true peace and prosperity.

It is in Revelation that we are given the assurance that the Jewish Messiah—the Lord Jesus Christ—defeats His blasphemous enemies—Satan himself, the Antichrist, the False Prophet and all the enemy nations who gather together against Him at Armageddon.

It is in the great last book of the Bible, The Revelation of Jesus Christ, that the devil is finally defeated and destroyed for all eternity. In Revelation we see at long last the final vestiges of Satan’s dominion over planet Earth destroyed, and humanity forever freed from the tyranny of Satan’s strongholds.

But before the final curtain is drawn, before the Lord Jesus—the King of kings and Lord of lords rescues planet Earth, the Christ-rejecting world will feel the powerful impact of God Almighty’s wrath—when He sends His Revelation judgments.

When Jesus returns, He comes as a mighty warrior. He will destroy the tyrannical hordes and take with Him those who have placed their faith in Him into the millennial kingdom where life will be more like He originally intended.

It is in the book of Revelation that the last and final words of the Lord Jesus are given to His creation. It is the consummation marking the completion of the cannon of Scripture (Rev. 22:19). Jesus is totally triumphant, beyond measure. And those of us who are part of His Church will partake in His greatest triumph when we return with Him at His Glorious Appearing at the Second Coming.

The year 2016 has been exceptional—historically, politically and spiritually. God has shown us tremendous mercy with His all-powerful might—pushing back the godless masses who work relentlessly to destroy our great nation and take away our freedoms. Glory to God in the highest! He has shown His good will toward men, and especially to His faithful. Luke said it this way in relation to Christ’s birth: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men” (Luke 2:14).

The time in which we now live could be the lull before the great storm of the prophesied seven-year Tribulation: “When they are saying, ‘Peace and safety, then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall in no wise escape’” (1 Thessalonians 5:3).

The globalists are not going away. They are going to keep pushing their ominous agenda, which is to gain total power and control of every man, woman and child. At some point their covert one world government will become an overt in-your-face dictatorial nightmare ruled by that one man who will present himself as the savior of mankind—the Antichrist himself, the son of perdition (2 Thessalonians 2:3). Only those who are genuinely saved before the Rapture will escape that time of hell on earth.

Prophecy will be fulfilled as it is written. But for now, we have a glimmer of leadership in our country which has been sorely lacking. We have a controversial president-elect who has the amazing chutzpah to stand up against the dark forces of the globalists who are hell-bent on turning all of humanity into mindless robots.

We see many signs of this demonic agenda in the form of brainwashed paid “protestors” and cry babies—the useful idiots working on behalf of the globalist mafia whether they know it or not. They are all Satan’s representatives, and foolishly think they will not be held accountable for their deeds.

But no man can or will escape accountability to God. Every person will one day confess and bow before King Jesus: “For it is written, ‘As I live, saith the Lord, to me every knee shall bow, And every tongue shall confess to God”’ (Romans 14:11).

The president-elect is a true friend of Israel and the sooner the anti-Israel, anti-America “president” who now occupies the White House leaves—the better. Even now Obama is working against Israel with the UN in his last days in “power.” This is one of the latest headlines (Dec. 23, 2016) on the matter, extracted from the Times of Israel:

Choosing Not to Veto, Obama Lets Anti-settlement Resolution Pass at UN Security Council.”

Obama’s stance is nothing less than standing with the Palestinians and other Muslims who wish to see Israel wiped off the face of the earth. He is on the wrong side of history. He is not taking steps to protect Israel; he is deliberately going against Israel.

We should not be surprised. Obama has repeatedly worked against Israel as I detail in my current book, Israel’s Guaranteed Future Glory. Apparently, he had to complete his eight years of failed foreign policy with a final blow against the Israelis.

Israel will never be destroyed and the globalists, including the sitting president will be held accountable for their contemptible behavior against God’s chosen people and nation. All pro-Israel Christians know anyone who works against Israel will incur God’s wrath: “AndI will bless those who bless you, and the one whocurses you I will[curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”

As we reflect upon our many blessings in our great nation at Christmastime, we should be encouraged knowing that the King of kings will soon intervene and put an end to the godless rants of those who are so eagerly willingly to do Satan’s bidding.

We must fervently pray for Israel, for Donald Trump and all those who stand with Israel. The president-elect’s life is most certainly in danger. John F. Kennedy was assassinated because he would not go along with the agenda of the globalists. The same sinister crowd is at work today.

In the book of Revelation the overriding message given to John by our Lord Jesus Christ is to Come to Him—His heart cries out to anyone who is willing to hear Him. He is at the door knocking and ready to enter into a personal relationship with all those who will receive Him.

“Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me” (Revelation 3:20).

And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And he that heareth, let him say, Come. And he that is athirst, let him come: he that will, let him take the water of life freely” (Revelation 22:17).

The manner in which the above passage reads seems to have a melodic tone. It is an appeal for all to Come to Jesus and partake freely of the water of life. Jesus is the Water of Life and only through Him can we be sustained. The word Come is again repeated in the verse, encouraging all to come to Him.

Christ is the Living Water which everyone needs not only to have a fruitful life on earth, but to be saved for all eternity. In the spirit of Christmas, as blood-bought children of God we can enter joyfully into His Presence through prayer and truly express our adoration of Him any time. “For where two or three have gathered together in My name,I am there in their midst” (Matthew 18:20).

In Revelation 22:16-17 Jesus says:

“I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things for the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright, the morning star. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And he that heareth, let him say, Come. And he that is athirst, let him come: he that will, let him take the water of life freely.”

In Revelation 22:16, Jesus Himself asserts and confirms that it is He who sentHis angel to John to reveal the things which he wrote down—so he could convey these things to the churches:

“I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these thingsfor the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright, the morning star.”

This is the very same Jesus (God-Man) who in His humanity is the “root and offspring of David”—a descendant of David. But Jesus in His deity is the Shekinah Glory, the visible light of the morning star. The morning star appears just before daybreak. So as it rises before the break of day so will Christ appear as “the bright and morning star.”

Christ is the Morning Star who will descend with a shout when He comes to claim His Bride in the Rapture of the Church. And at His Glorious Appearing at the Second Coming, He comes again as the Morning Star to finish His work on earth and usher in the magnificent millennial and eternal ages—the dawning of the new age (literally) and not a false utopia which the New Age movement has proclaimed.

Yes! O come let us adore Him, all ye faithful, joyful and triumphant—come to Him and praise His holy name.

When so much heartache and turmoil ravage the nations—especially throughout the Middle East, as believers we are immensely blessed to know that we belong to Jesus. May our prayers for all those suffering at the hand of tyranny help bring about miraculous interventions from the God of Glory.

The Root and Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star is coming soon. He wishes for no one to perish; it is our job as believers to reach others for Him (Matthew 28:19-20).

I have found that at Christmastime we can more easily approach the lost and share the Good News of Christ’s free gift of eternal salvation. People of all ages are frightened as they see terror and uncertainty all around them.

Share the Lord Jesus—the only answer to freedom and true hope for a world desperately seeking answers. Pray that the He will give you many openings to speak of His love—His incredible sacrifice on the cross, and declare to others the prophetic Scriptures that promise a life of true eternal peace.

Millions of people are hurting and have no idea what is really going on. We must try to reach as many as possible during this Christmas season and all throughout the New Year.

Merry Christmas and God bless America and God bless Israel.

“Anyone who loves God’s chosen people will want to read Israel’s Guaranteed Future Glory. Kit R. Olsen’s wonderful new book highlights the State of Israel showing that God’s prophetic promises have not been broken, and that He still has a plan for mankind. The history of the Jews proves the validity of His Holy Word; and the geopolitical climate unfolding today falls in line with God’s prophetic messages. Kit has been my dedicated editor/writer for the site for over four and a half years, and I am very pleased to share some of her additional work with our readers and feature her new book on the site.” –Todd Strandberg
