Time is Short
Let’s pretend for a moment. I have asked you in the past, a number of times, to consider what will take place once you pass away. Too few have written back in this matter, so I decided to take it one step further and ask you again. This time we are going to make a few changes and then see what you think; and this is for everyone and anyone that is willing to think on this.
Before, I asked you to consider all that some people have done to create wealth and positions of power. And if you have forgotten, take a closer look at the Kennedy Empire that formed the platform for Presidents and Senators and the like — how powerful they were, the immenseness of their possessions and places in the world society, as well as their vast wealth.
Now that the majority of them are gone, what is left? The only remnants left are graves and headstones. I am not trying to be calloused about it at all, nor do I mean any type of disrespect for the families. Still the truth remains, as it always will.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”
Absolute Truth, straight from the mouth of the Lord God to our ears! Read it again and again. Consider it and believe. I keep saying this; time is very, very, short!
By now, we have seen the wealthy and the famous alike live and then die; and all that’s left are fancy headstones and big graves. Yet, all are definitely dead. Their lives have already been lived; their wealth has already been made and is now distributed among their families and friends. Even their bodies are falling apart in their graves. So now all we have are the memories, am I correct?
Another aspect: The money is nothing more than numbers on a computer and paper, and the majority of people use credit cards. We already know there is a ‘financial crisis’ coming; and in the Tribulation, the NWO (New World Order) will confiscate all the wealth. Thus power will be complete to just a few people in the world. “Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.” So all that wealth you have accumulated will then go to whom?
After all that work and effort, to think it will stay right here on earth. That position will be filled by another. The big house will one day be bulldozed and the fancy cars will sit in a graveyard for cars, rusting away. The Baccalaureate degree, the Master’s, and the Ph.D.’s will all end up in the local landfill. So much work, such difficult times, and many hours lost especially in sleep or lost from your family. And now, what about now? All that is worth nothing to you anymore, am I right?
If you were able, you would see billions of people are already dead on earth, vast amounts of land burned to the ground, other areas now under water for good. And still, not one person will get up and leave their grave.
Hebrews 9:27 “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”
For lack of a better way to say it, the world will soon be uninhabitable for humans until Jesus returns. In this case, what good is wealth or power and position? Everything is gone and the only remaining power is the Lord God Almighty. Yet if you have NO relationship with HIM, you’re lost in Eternity.
The Bible says this! Again, tell me what the worth of your wealth and power is? And so now, because you rejected the Lord Jesus Christ, you will spend Eternity in Hell and the Lake of Fire, the worst place there ever could be! And then to know you asked for this; it was your own decision. You had a chance, just like everyone else, but…you chose the world…you chose Satan. All I can say is, I hope and pray you’re satisfied.
I already know, someone is going to think I am being cavalier with all of this. Others are going to think, “A God that loves me would never send me to Hell.”…or… “I was a good person.” …Even… “I went to church and Sunday school and even sang in the choir.” Still as yet, you never gave your life and heart to Jesus Christ. So now, like the story of “Lazarus and the Rich man” (Luke 16:19-31), you sit in torment and you beg for forgiveness of all your sin. And still you remain right where you are.
John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
All your questions and all the answers you will ever need are right there in the Holy Word of God (Bible).
So as we contemplate the above and all the Scripture, what do you think now? There are so many people, including me, that are saying how close the “Rapture of the Church of Jesus Christ” is. What do you think your every effort should be? Money, big house and fat bank account? Or maybe it should be the Lord Jesus Christ, HIS Love, and Heaven for Eternity. What do you think?
Just so you know, all of this is found in the Bible and has been here at least 4,500 years. The Only Book that is the “Living Word” that penetrates into you, body and soul (Hebrews 4:12) and is only one hand away from you.
There is a passage of Scripture that says,
Matthew 7:13-20 “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.”
I sort of liken this to “Zombies shuffling along a huge highway to Hell and the Lake of Fire!” They have no thoughts; they continue to shuffle along, never once considering where they are headed. There are some that holler and yell for them to, “Jump off the Highway!” Sadly, no one is listening. The zombies are too busy with all their small concerns and their little routines; and in all that time their ears are closed. All around that highway the sirens are blaring, a few people are yelling, and alerts are everywhere! Do you still want to walk that highway?
If I were you, I would take the time to think on this and consider where you are headed, because a day IS coming when thinking about it will NO longer work. Please, my friends…consider this closely…KNOW where you are headed. Yet, to know is not enough…you must take that first step and choose Jesus Christ in your life and Heart!
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.“
