My Friends, I am wondering about a few things here. I was reprimanded for using John 3:16, which is my choice, by the way; and I was told I should use another passage of Scripture. My question is this: why should I change this?
Obviously this individual does not understand John 3:16. I have stated before that the entire Bible should be used in every way to glorify the Lord, because…the entire Bible was spoken by God…for Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ IS God! In my heart and evidently according to God’s Holy Word…Jesus Christ…is the ONLY Savior for any and all of the people of this world past, present and future. John 3:16 lays this out for all to see…in plain words…and in Black and White. Let’s take a closer look though.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
“For God” it begins, who IS the only God there is, in three personages: “God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.” This is the Creator of the entire universe, Earth and every person ever born on this planet. There is NONE BESIDE HIM. Thus the ONLY GOD there is.
“…so loved the world:” In this part, it says that God created everything, every single thing there is on this earth and every single person…GOD is the Creator. If HE went to the trouble to create everything, why shouldn’t HE Love it all? The Point here is this: HE (GOD) loved HIS creation of people. God wanted a people that would ‘choose’ to love HIM in return. HE never forces anyone to Love HIM. God chose to allow us to be alive and learn of HIM. That is the reason we have life.
“…that he gave his only begotten Son:” Jesus Christ, being God…gave us HIMSELF. HE chose to come here to Earth, to be born, to live and then to die on that Roman Cross. Jesus Christ, being GOD, saw that we were sinful. HE came to shed HIS Blood to cover our Sin—IF we choose to ask HIM for this—IF we are willing to give our lives over to HIM, just as HE chose to give over HIS Life to us and for us. How GREAT is this Gift from GOD? Who else do you know of that would do the exact same thing?
“…that whosoever believeth in him should not perish…” God loves us! God created us! In so doing, why would He hate us? GOD does not want any of us, HIS Creation, to die for eternity. GOD hates our sin and HE will NOT tolerate any of it in HIS Presence…thus the reason HE died and shed HIS Blood for us. The Blood of Jesus Christ (GOD) is the ONLY thing that will cover our sin and make us clean.
“…but have everlasting life:” GOD is in Heaven and will live forever. That being the case, and because HE loves us, HE wants us to live in Heaven…with HIM…for eternity…forever. Jesus Christ wants to save you and me…from the depths of Hell and the Lake of Fire. The reason we have Life…the reason Jesus Christ (GOD) came to Earth…is to save us…for you and I to choose to follow HIM and love HIM. There never was any other reason for our lives here, and there was no other reason for Jesus Christ (GOD) to come here and die for you and me…than to save us…from ourselves…from our sin — to give us the means to live forever…eternity…with HIM in Heaven.
I am NOT rebuking anyone in this article. The Holy Word of God, the Bible, is for all of us to read and hold dear in our hearts. The Bible is called a “Living Text.” A Text that moves and changes, and reveals more and more with every line that we read, every time we read it. Different passages of Scripture will speak to us individually…and YET…all Scripture is relevant…all Scripture is just for us…From GOD. One passage will touch you more than I…yet all of it is important to you and me.
I find great comfort in reading…over and over again…John 3:16. I love knowing that God…Jesus Christ…loves me…that HE saved me…because I know in my heart…my sin makes me worthless. I love the fact that Jesus Christ…died…in my place, to cover my sin with HIS Precious Blood. My Friends…THAT is enough for me. Thus I will continue to use John 3:16 in every article. Still as yet, I will love all of the Scriptures of God’s Holy Word to us.
On another note, I was reminded this evening of “Laminin.” This is a very selective protein that holds our molecules together…a “Glue” if you will. Laminin also defines the cells according to their particular job — some for muscle, for soft tissue, or whatever is needed by our bodies. The single uniqueness of this protein is that it is in every single cell of our bodies. In other words, it is the protein that holds us together. Here is what makes this protein so special:
When viewed with an Electron Microscope, it looks just like the Cross of Jesus Christ. How special is that? How absolutely wonderful to know that, no matter what, every human has evidence of Jesus Christ (GOD) in us. It is evident in Laminin…the protein that holds all our cell molecules together…just like rebar and concrete. The building blocks of our bodies are held together by Jesus Christ. Our HOPE of Jesus Christ is evident in our cells. That boggles my mind!
Colossians 1:27 “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.”
I knew of this about a year ago, but I have been researching this “Laminin protein,” and I am still completely mystified by it. Tell me…Does GOD exist? Did God create us? You already know that is the absolute Truth. How do we know? Laminin!
The Cross of Jesus Christ is the symbol that Jesus Christ died for us. It is the Only way that sin can be forgiven of us. The object of horrendous Torture and Pain…and yet…the ONLY way to the Father is through Jesus Christ’s blood. A Horrible death, and yet HIS Blood covers our sin…HIS payment to God the Father…is HIS Blood. And for me, this takes me right back to John 3:16. How great a Love is that? I am woefully inept to find the words!
Jesus Christ hung on that Cross, bled and died, to save me…though I am as worthless as filthy rags. My sin was the reason HE went to that Cross, so that I would have Life Eternal. There is NO way I could turn my back on that. HE is the ONLY reason I will see Heaven and HIM. Praise the Lord in all things!
