Worship in Spirit
I often wonder why it is that man is not able to determine the difference between “The Physical and the Spiritual.” When the Lord God created you and me, he gave us a “physical body.” This body feels pain and pleasure, has arms and legs and allows us to move about this planet we call Earth. This body does indeed have a beginning, and thus, it will have an end that we call death. We must note here that each and every person alive already knows this as a fact. We have no questions on this.
When the Lord God created us, HE also gave us a spirit; some like to refer to this as a soul. This is the “spiritual” part of us. So why are so many thinking of this spirit of ours as residing within our brain? Why is it so difficult for us to see that we do indeed have a spirit? Is it that difficult to understand that this ‘brain’ controls the functions of the body and nothing more? Is it so difficult to understand that the ‘spirit’ is where our thoughts come from, and the Bible calls it “The Intent of our Heart?” My point is this: If we are able to see the difference between the physical and spiritual in each of us, then it should be easy to understand that The Lord God…is a Spirit! Thus when we worship the Lord God, we must do so in spirit. The Bible says:
John 4:24 “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.“
So now you know the Truth. And knowing this begs the question, “What is the relationship between what is physical and what is spiritual? Is not ‘one’ of this planet and the ‘other’ of Eternity?” Point being, when you die of this planet, you will then enter into the spiritual realm of Eternity. And so, how does having ‘physical wealth’ matter to the needs of the spirit? It is simple to see; the physical stays right here on Earth while the spirit goes back to the Lord God in Eternity. Obviously, the wealth will stay right here…am I not correct?
The Bible says “God is Spirit.” This then dictates that there is a great need for our spirit, because this life here on Earth is very short. So there must be a great need for our spirit – a purpose for you and me to have one.
The Bible tells us things like, “From East unto the West.” And that begs us to try and figure out how far a distance is between the East and the West…right? Is there a beginning that is not attached to the end? Where does the East begin and then ends before the West? Does this make sense to you? How about going to the local cemetery and tell me, where is all that wealth? If there was wealth in the cemetery, there would be a ton of grave-robbers…right?
If wealth is big houses, boats and fancy cars, what use are they to those who are already dead? So now, the question goes back to the spiritual. What are the needs of the spiritual part of us? As you must have guessed, Eternity will last longer than this life here on Earth
We know the Lord God is Spirit. We then know that our spirit is more important than our body, and we know the body stays here and the spirit goes on into Eternity…that lasts forever. It would then be easy to see that we must pay more attention to the destiny of our spirit than that of our body…right? This is fact…in the Holy Word of God.
Jesus Christ IS the Son of God, and with the Holy Spirit and the Father…they are God. So Jesus Christ as God came to this Earth, lived 33 years and was then murdered by HIS creation…you and me! HIS purpose was to shed HIS Precious Blood on that Roman Cross at Calvary to cover our sins. That is the payment required for you and me to enter into Heaven… no sin. God hates sin and will not tolerate it. A physical act by God…to redeem HIS Creation. Problem is…too few today believe this or even care!
Again, if we die here on Earth, does the spirit not matter more? Is Eternity more important than this life here on Earth? The real question is this: If Eternity lasts longer than this life, why are so few people thinking about Eternity? Is anyone concerned with WHERE they will be in Eternity?
People pay for “insurance” on their things, and yet they have no insurance on their Eternity? People plan for their vacations, their lifestyle, their jobs and income, and yet they do not have a plan for their Eternity. They have a body and a spirit wrapped up in one small package, and yet they are only concerned with one half of it. That does not make much sense to me.
John 14:6-7 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.“
Obviously, Jesus is saying, “If you have seen me, you have seen the Father.” And HE is saying, NO ONE comes to the Father…except through ME (Jesus Christ). This is what your spirit needs to know. Jesus Christ is the ONLY Way into Heaven!
Does the “Prosperity Gospel” or the “Feel Good Gospel” have anything to do with the passage of Scripture above? It does not. Your mission here on Earth is not the wealth of the world, neither is your “feeling good” about yourself!
Matthew 22:21 “Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar’s; and unto God the things that are God’s.“
So now, you decide… what belongs to this world and what belongs to the Lord God?
Everyone is running around this little planet, doing this and doing that; and in the grand scheme of things, what does all this running around amount to? IF it is not for the Lord God, then it doesn’t matter. If you live for 80 years, what can you do in those 80 years that is more important than doing everything for the Lord God…and for your Eternity? Okay…for those math experts out there, what is the difference in length between 80 years and Eternity? Do you get my drift here?
Mark 8:36-37 “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?“
There’s your answer in black and white! It’s in the Holy Word of God. Read it and believe it, because it is absolute TRUTH. Your sole purpose for being here on Earth is to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior…and that is the end of it. If you fail to do that, your Eternity will be in Hell and the Lake of Fire!
Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.“
It’s in the Holy Word of God. It is absolute Truth and it defines what your mission here on Earth is. It is important for you to know and read the Word of God…the Bible. IF it is any other Gospel…it IS WRONG. IF it is anything other than Jesus Christ…it IS WRONG. IF you believe anything else…you will see Hell and the Lake of Fire!
I have heard so many times, “Well…I have my own beliefs.” Well good for you! IF it is anything else other than what Jesus Christ is…YOU are Lost…and lost for Eternity. THAT is NOT a good thing! Don’t listen to anyone…get a Bible and read it…and then believe it. That is the best key there is.
If people spent as much time in the Holy Word of God as they do in work and everything else in this life, there would be NO ONE left on Earth after the Rapture. Yet the Word of God tells us (above passage) that the majority of the people on Earth will walk the Highway to Hell and into the Lake of Fire. What is absolutely horrible is this…they will “choose” to walk that highway to destruction…all on their own!
You want to know what the real “Zombie Apocalypse” is? All the Zombies walking that Highway to Hell – shuffling along, no thoughts, no HOPE, and they don’t care about where they are headed. Tell me I’m wrong! It’s such a simple choice to make—Jesus Christ or Eternal Destruction. YOU CHOOSE.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
