My Lord and my Father in heaven, you are all things, you are my beginning and my end. You are the very air that I breath, you are my sunrise and my sunset. I know from your holy Word, that you are the beginning and the end, you are the first and the last, you are the Great “I Am.”
You were here in the very beginning and you created all things by your Word; the land, sea and air are yours and I am only a very small part of what your created, but I am part of your creation according to your Word and according to your love.
I am here to love you with all that I am, I am here to worship you and no other, I am to seek you at every turn, to listen to your words to me and follow you all my life. There is no other reason for me to live, than to love and honor you, to give you my entire life and tell others of you.
Genesis 1:1 “In the beginning God”…is how the Bible begins and no matter, whatever happens, that is how it will stay. If you read Genesis 1, you will notice “And God said” and that is how it continues and that is how it will always be, because HE is God. Right to this very minute God is still the same, HE never wavers, HE never changes, HE has always been and HE will always be…GOD. Count on it!
God created everything. That being the case, everything will always point to GOD. Because GOD has always been, HE will continue to always be. Nothing happens without GOD knowing about it and that includes our lives—everything we think and everything we could ever know.
Yet the first thing we must know and understand is that HE loved us first. God came to this world and allowed HIS creation to beat HIM beyond recognition and then crucify HIM…because HE loves us.
We are the ones that are filled with sin, we are the ones that make all the mistakes. We are the ones that need saving from ourselves, because of our sins. That…is the reason God went to the Cross on Calvary. In our ignorance…we have committed all manner of sins….we are stained, we are fallen.
It is the blood that HE shed on that Cross…that covers our sins, if we are willing to seek God out and ask for HIS forgiveness. There is no other way to be cleansed, IF we wish to have a relationship with HIM. Because of our sins…there is NO way we can save ourselves or each other.
Revelation 1:8 “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”
Revelation 1:17-19 “And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death. Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter.”
In Revelation chapters 2-3, the letters to the churches all end with: “He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.”
Think on these words, on that saying and know that the Lord God Almighty KNOWS whether you understand them or not. GOD knows your heart, HE knows your every thoughts every day of your life.
Your reason for being alive, having been created, is to love and honor HIM. The Lord God Almighty wants a people that HE can call HIS own, who will love and honor HIM, as HE loves us. Hence, the next breath that you are able to breathe.
HE gives you so many days to live here, HE gives you every opportunity to come to HIM and seek HIM, to give your life to HIM. For this HE is willing to give you an eternity that makes the universe pale in comparison. It will be beyond anything you could ever imagine. This life here is but the very first step you take in eternity and yet it is the shortest step.
How you act here in this life, tells others what you believe. Think about that. You are here to make one decision and that decision is whether you will seek God and follow HIM.
You were NOT created to live fancy lives or to live lives of debauchery and sin. Your spirit was created in the likeness of the Lord God. Your body will cease to exist one day, yet what you have done with it has been recorded, every single instance.
Those who choose to follow Jesus Christ…GOD…will have their name written in the Lamb’s book of life. These are the ones that have an eternity with GOD in heaven. Anything other, any other belief in any other GOD…will fail.
You must come to The Lord God Almighty in sincere prayer and ask HIM to save you, to cover your sins with HIS blood from the Cross at Calvary. THAT…is the ONLY way to an eternity in heaven…THAT…is your only reason for living here. THAT…was the reason you were created. THAT…is what the Word of GOD…the BIBLE says and it is absolute truth.
John 14:5-11 “Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him. Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works sake.”
My greatest memory as a child is this: Sitting in the sweltering Texas tent-revivals and looking out across the field we were in and watching the waves of heat undulate. People were there to seek the Lord and to listen to HIS Holy Word—the Bible. They had questions about why we are all here on earth, the reason or purpose.
That revival preacher bellowed and hollered at us, that we were fallen because of our sins…that’s right…OUR SIN! He would slam books down and beat on the podium, trying desperately to get the Word of God, concerning our salvation across to us.
One day will come when each of us will stand before our righteous God and HE will look to see if our name is written in the Lamb’s book of life. If it is there, GOD will welcome us home. If it was NOT written there, we would be ushered into HELL. And it was as simple as that. That message still rings true today.
Hebrews 8:12 “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.”
Micah 7:18-19 “Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy. He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.”
I listened to those tent revivalists, yes I was afraid because they were so loud; but the message stuck in my heart. That was the important thing. Today, I clearly understand what they were yelling about and they should have been yelling it from the rooftops every where they went. I KNOW these things are absolute truth and I KNOW I am going to heaven to be with my Lord and God forever!
So, if I may…think of me as one of those revivalists…hollering and yelling at the top of my lungs. Jesus Christ is coming and HE is coming soon…probably sooner than any of us realize. The last question is this: Where will YOU go after this life here on earth?”
