Well…here we are and it’s definitely spring and it has definitely sprung. Praise the Lord for this. Is anyone else as happy about this as I am? We should always go before the Lord God and give Him praise for all that He blesses us with, and that goes right down to the very next breath of air we take. I believe in my heart one of the worst things we are doing right now, is forgetting to praise and thank the Lord for His blessings.
Isaiah 46:3-5 “Hearken unto me, O house of Jacob, and all the remnant of the house of Israel, which are borne by me from the belly, which are carried from the womb: And even to your old age I am he; and even to hoar hairs will I carry you: I have made, and I will bear; even I will carry, and will deliver you. To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me, that we may be like?”
We, as humans are so wrapped up in our own little world with all its problems; theindecisions, the waiting and thedoubtsthatwe experience result in things we may not expect. Why is it, that we wait so long to come and ask of the Lord?
Why is it that we “assume” so many things on a daily basis—when the answer to every problem is in the Lord and all one needs to do is to come to the Lord God Almighty and ask? Having problems with your wife or husband, your kids, neighbors? Then what in heaven’s name are you waiting on? Go to the Lord.
How odd is it? We never realize, that it is you and me who make assumptions (as in assuming everything), when the problems we experience are so incredibly small, so self-centering and conceited, that we are never able to see our dilemma as we should.
Yet our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ IS Almighty God and HE already knows everything and every aspect of our lives, even long before HE created the universe. Having said that, why do we not throw our entire lives at His feet and ask Him to show us what we need to be doing every day of our lives?
Psalm 55:22-23 “Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. But thou, O God, shalt bring them down into the pit of destruction: bloody and deceitful men shall not live out half their days; but I will trust in thee.”
My friends, this is a promise from the Lord God Almighty. Why is it sodifficult for us to look around and see that this is how the world is, and that we do not have to be afraid? Reread the passage of Scripture above and KNOW it is the truth; it is according to God Almighty and you can surely depend upon it!
If you are not willing to go to the Bible and read it, then why should the Lord God sustain you? I am not saying that HE does not, I am saying that HE looks at the intent of your heart; where your treasure is and who is first in your life.
Love is a very unique thing when we consider that it comes from the Father above. Even for those people that are so wrapped up in their own lives that they never give the Lord God HIS due diligence. They are so focused on what they want; things like wealth, big houses and expensive cars that they never give the Lord a second thought.
They never realize that their next breath of air is dependent on the Lord God. What would all those things matter if the Lord God said NO to the next breath of air? Would you feel that God Almighty was not fair to you? Then why is it so hard for you to give the Lord God the praise that He deserves? By His Word, the universe hangs together as it does.
I am now 65 years old and I have been in many strange circumstances. I have lived a long and fruitful life. Yet I KNOW…the Lord God Almighty has sustained every single second of this life, and I am always quick to give Him the thanks and the praise He deserves. And to think of all that we have done wrong, yet the Lord God STILL LOVES US. HE STILL FORGIVES OUR SINS. He still sustains our every second of life!
The Lord God wants people who will LOVE HIM…as HE LOVES US. Of course we humans would never be able to love Him like He loves us. But the effort by you and me should always be there. How odd is it that there are so many people in this world that hate God, that say they rule their own lives, and that they stand alone and have always done for themselves?
NEVER ONCE…realizing that their next breath of air comes from the Lord. I keep using that same point because it is so simple to recognize and each of us need that next breath of air, to simply live for another minute.
The Word of God tells us that GOD ALMIGHTY created us and did so in His Image (Genesis). Yet for many they believe they are gods; that whoever they are, they are so because of what they have done—never once realizing that none of it (their lives) would be possible without that next breath of air.
Right now many, many people are taking their very first breath of air, just out of the womb and many, many others are taking their very last breath of air. And so very, very few think to praise the Lord for such a simple act of love.
How many people do you know that squander away their lives on things like wealth and treasures of this world when they already know…life here on earth is temporary and so very short?
The Word of God tells us that our lives are as a vapor (James 4:14). We are here for a very short time and then life vanishes. If that is the case what weneed do before anything else is prepare for our journey in eternity. Why are people so shortsighted? It isunbelievablein the least!
Okay. So after all of this, I want to make it very, very, short and simple. To live another moment, you NEED that next breath of air. Where did this NEED come from and how is it provided? To live on earth we need the air around us, thus we now know the Lord God provided the air for us. We see and know that the Lord God provided that next breath of air, and yet, that breath of air will only sustain us for one moment.
Therefore, the Lord God provided a succession of breaths, o we can live. And each of us know that a day is coming when that next breath of air will be our last and our existence on earth will cease. And somewhere along the way, everyone expects the air to be there each and every time. But what if it stops? Obviously, we did not create the air, nor do we control it in any way. Do you see ourdependenceon the Lord now?
Your life here on earth is to complete one thing; to live your life according to the Lord God’s perfect will…or not. Yet it is your decision!
Simply said, you live your life according to the Lord God or you live according to Satan and his ilk. Your life may be short or long and again that is according to the Lord God—His will for your life.
Trust the Word of God when it says when you live life for Jesus Christ your eternity will be with Him. Live for yourself, according to this evil world and you will be living for Satan and his ilk; your eternity will with them—in the lake of fire. It’s one way or the other, there is NO other way!
Let’s be honest here, Your life will be lived according to the Lord, or the highway. That highway is headed for hell and the lake of fire—destruction for eternity. We are given one chance, one choice, one decision. It will be either Jesus Christ or Satan and his ilk. Heaven or hell. That is what life is all about; it matters little whether you believe that or not. So now the question is this: What day or moment will you die? Just one breath after the other, right?
